Mes Karapetyan, better known as M35, has been making huge noises since exploding onto the Dance music scene. Earning support from the scene’s more iconic DJs, such as Hardwell, Axwell, Tiësto and Calvin Harris, M35 remixed renowned artists such as Vicetone and Morgan Page; showcasing what a unique talent the classically trained 24 year old is. 

Collaborating with M35 on ‘Outbreak’, emerging talent Vion Konger has already soared to boundless heights. Despite only being 16 years old, the young Russian won a remix competition hosted by Laidback Luke. Gaining support from tastemakers including Hardwell, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Blasterjaxx, Morgan Page, Blasterjaxx, Dannic, Starkillers and Promise Land, Vion Konger has added tracks on Revealed Recordings to his upcoming release repertoire, cementing his place as one of the fastest growing talents on the scene.

Debuted at Group Therapy Weekender 2019, Above & Beyond’s new bi-annual camping festival at The Gorge Amphitheatre outside of Seattle, this angel sounds far from heaven sent.

The unmistakable and usually strident vocal work of Richard Bedford here sounds almost plaintive and cowed, surrounded on all sides by shuddering, cascading bass. Vito Mendez has shone bright in 2019, following his debut release on Generation Smash last year with September’s huge Smash The House release ‘Tear Them Down’ alongside Tony Junior as well as collaborations with the likes of Sidney Samson for the label, and now he displays his evolution as a producer with a return to Generation Smash with the deadly ‘Predator’.

The Dutch producer instantly showcases his prowess in the studio by introducing a whirring synth effect that changes timing due to clever use of LFO, whilst a synthesized flute quickly takes centre stage, and plays a key part throughout the track. Gliding portamento leads give the track interest and keep it vibrant while syncopated tribal percussion joins proceedings to ensure ‘Predator’ is always evolving. A tinkling Arpeggio in the main break works perfectly in tandem with the flute to provide a perfect crescendo before the heavy beat drops once more. 

After standing out throughout the year with a series of strong releases, Vito Mendez’s stock continues to rise, and that is only set to increase with this latest release. With support already from the likes of label heads Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Dannic & Afrojack to name a few, it is clear the sky is the limit for Vito Mendez, as he looks set to propel himself into dance music’s elite moving into 2020.
