A “Daily Operation” penned prolific, rhymes unlimited universally gifted, a vocal metronome of lyrical land mines
And in every single break-up “Ex girl to the next girl” on my mind

A man with ‘a heart that was stronger’, will play a ‘part that is longer’
Early architect of the jazz-hop style, could go from DAT to live instrumental, flow over any beat or song, sang for him and for her, forever respectful of the other gender
Cancer can take his life, but never the back catalog, the videos, the hands raised at live shows and swinging side to side...

GURU could freestyle with them best of them, collaborate with the rest of ‘em
Brought together the best unknown jazz legends of his time, 
And singlehandedly built a generational bridge connecting be-bop to rap, 
Across this American musical landscape that is yours and is mine

Stretched across the Atlantic, so MC Solar’s fan base expanded
Put Donald Byrd and Lonnie Liston Smith in young American kid’s minds, so history was   handed
