Separate Self - Psyche's Void Set

One of my latest tracks. Pretty spooky and dark. It begins as an abstractive break tech attempt but after a while the kick and bass gives place to a more straight dark techno rythm. Very heavy pads and a really black atmosphere combined with a full drumset giving the required energy to the track. It  reflects a really tough period of my life that is strongly bound with the matters of life and death. It belongs to a series tracks that will follow this one and will have a similar approach. It has to do very much with the way people embrace the death of their closest ones and how tiny people feel as approching the death matter.

FoodForWorms - Κρόνος [Kronos (Saturn)]

Time has shown me that circumstances matured enough for this track to be surfaced. This was first track which was completed under my updated project called ''FoodForWorms''. I waited almost a year before I got the desicion to publish it. It may have been my maturest attempt of electronic music making. it was the very first time of me using Vocals in one of my tracks, in fact it was some scattered samples of womens vox that I tried to put together in order to achieve a continuus vocal melodic phraze. Subconsciously I had in my mind the two anthems of electronic and new wave music  that use the vocals in a similar way, Prodigy's ''Smack my bitch up'' and Sisters of Mercy's ''Temple of Love'',while trying to express it in a dark techno/tech breaks version. From the very begining I tried to create a certain atmosphere using vast amounts of reverb and delay, like building an acoustic image of illusion, along with breaking kicks and cymbals is like preperation to battle. My aim was to sustain that mysterious aura alongside to the track while holding it to a minimal techno style. I named it ''Ο Κανένας'', it means ''The Noboby'' and it is taken from Homer's ''Odyssey'' wherefor the character's name was Polyphemus, the mythical giant, which was blinded by Odysseus in his attempt of escape. Techno or no techno fans I hope you all enjoy this track equally, I sure did my best.

FoodForWorms - Ο Κανένας [NoBody]

I imagined a journey, not like others. A journey directly to the brighter point of the universe. The star of Sirius. I imagined building the soundtrack of that journey and that is the result. I began with the pads. Pads to the stars. The one more earthy, as a connection to homeland. The other more desertous and noisy, symbolising the infinite space's great unknown. Using the same bassline throughtout the process, but alternating the kicks and the rythme as well. Initiate with a couple of break kicks along with delayed standart 4/4 as well untill half of the track that joins them a wide one 4/4 that its punchiness echoes among the stars and defines the track so on. I visualised the track's climax as a spaceship's extraction of the wormhole and started reaching the destination, the star of Sirius. Surrounded by infinite and dark space and outstanded by its cold beauty, while making an entry in Sirius's atmosphere. I have pictured it as a film mixture of ''2001: A space Odyssey'' and ''Interstellar''. Hope you ll touch this feeling too.

FoodForWorms - Καλώς Ήλθατε Στον Σείριο [Welcome To Sirius]

This track is dedicated to all the citizens of this planet who, in a war state circumstances, were forced to leave their houses and homelands , in search of their ''promised land''. i am referring to the oldest story of them all. When actual war is knocking at your front door. Since the dawn of time, man felt the urge of expressing its superiority against fellow man. It is the most common scenario. The last 'trend' in modern warfare is the anihillation of Syria. Starring as a daily projection on our tv sets. Feels to us, westerners, like the most natural thing to witness endless human herds, trying, hopelessly, to cross the country in order to reach this supposed to be humanitarian based union , the European Union. But, what they really expect from nations, that over 700 years now behave like a virus. A virus which colonized America exterminating all their native habitants moving on though the years to India, Africa, Pakistan [the list goes on and on] constructing societies with the conqueror's ambition and just, with only goal to preserve their establishments. This apathy terrifies me. Throughout history people's lifes being measured in reference to profit and every country's worth (measured) according to its resources and in what way it could be ''drought''. My only wish is that man, will initiate his collective way of thinking. There are no guarantees for each and every person, regardless nationality, that he wont end up a refugee, at any given time in his life. It strictly depends if his country  has the misfortune or not to belong  among the ones, serving the dark plans of a few global rulers. So, I think, this is a good opportunity for all of us, civilised, western citizens to take a minute and think a bit deeper about the problem, its possible solutions, about who is really rulling us, the monetary system which enslaving us, about this invisible society chains we have been bearing, with our own free will, constructing, for each and one of us his miniature ''brave new world''. Basic human needs are the same whether you live in Greece or N. Zealand, Patagonia or Nepal. Each and every one of  us should embrace a fundamental, humanitarian way of thinking based on , even, on the most ''little'' man's rights if we want to survive as a species and if we wish to have strong bonds, depending on a world wide fellow human solidarity. In my eyes it is the only way.

FoodForWorms - Πόλεμος Και Ειρήνη [War And Peace]

Once I listened to the original song [Pepe Nunez El Loreno - En una huerta de Lora (Fandangos)] I was chanted, in an instant, by  the power and versatileness of Mr Nunez's voice and I felt the urge to leave my footprint on it in a way. I was keep listening to it constantly through the editing process and by every listen, its sentiment, felt even more powerfull. I was very thorough in compiling  the phrases I wanted to keep and I must say it was a very difficult selection. My heart told me to preserve the guitar and vocals parts intact. That was not possible if I wanted to have a creative saying in the track. I believe that I chose the parts which carry fully the song's energy and passion. I tried to mold the traditional flamenco with the dark techno sound. The warmth of the classical guitar and the most passionate vocals along with a very heavy kick and bassline, alot of dark atmospheres and pads in the backround, accompanied with a complete drum kit, traditional percussions and lots of delayed claps in order to be familiar with the original tune. I do not wish to be any disrespect to the artist. I felt the need to carry the initial creation into our present with a more experimental, electronic point of view. My ''touch'' to Mr Nunez's song declares a ''thank you'' for his exceptional work.

Electronic music producer and dj from Athens, Greece. I have been involved through out the years with techno, breaks, electro and ambient tech music, mainly experimenting with production. After a break, i feel that is the correct time for djing and production to find the appropriate spot in  my life as I am having a beautiful feeling as I am energetic and inspired. Currently, I am working on a live project of electronic music that I am willing to share with the people.
