Cold Winter Solstice With Kelsey Mira

This has been a work in progress for a long time now, decided it just needed a few minor touches to the mix to release it. Held off thinking i may go a different direction with the ending, but i like it the way it is. Haven't had much time for music lately :(

Title Inspired by Babylon 5's Great machine on Epsilon 3, third planet in the Epsilon Eridani (located in the constellation Eridanus) star system, which the station orbits around..... (My favorite show,,,ever...)
In real life the epsilon eridani star system does have at least several planets, but  it's currently unknown if a third exists.  (it would be cool if there was a rocky third planet)

Working on side projects brought inspiration and I created this piece in a few days.
Forgive the imperfect mixing but I wanted to get it out for New years and make it my last track of 2011. I had an old fast slap bass electronic track I did once, it's a bit cheesy now, but i used it as a solo bass track live. This is kind of a bit like a replacement :)
I find most people don't want to hear how technical  a bass solo can get, they want a groove, so i solo within the groove. That's where I belong anyway :)

This is a remake of the original composition by Franz Schubert

When Kelsey and I were working on Winter Paradise, she mentioned she had always wanted to do a version of Ave Maria with heavy guitar. The most important aspect I wanted for our new vision of Ave was to keep the beauty of the original. Kelsey created this beautiful new melody for Ave and that made it easy to keep that wish :) This track is a collaboration in the truest meaning of the word, in that I asked her approval of every part from beginning to end, and she made many wonderful suggestions that made the track so amazing. She is a great songwriter as well as a spectacular vocalist, and it was a joy and privilege to create this track with her.

I have always wanted to do an operatic metal track, have always loved Ave Maria, and this project is a dream come true :) I could not be happier with how this turned out:)

Fool's Chaos specializes in dance electronica, funk, electronic rock, progressive rock, industrial - metal, soundtrack, and pop. The music is Daftpunk, Heatbeat, God is an astronaut, Primus, Garbage, The Cure, and Rammstein thrown in a blender. Tracks are a mixture of styles and don't stay in a specific genre.

I tend to not stick to any particular style, if the first track you listen to isn't to your taste, try another track, you may like it..... :)
I'm a bassist primarily,  that loves almost all genre's of music. I try to incorporate my bass playing into most of the music i make.
My music ranges from video game and film style compositions to Metal, Jazz, electronica, classical, singer-songwriter, and rock.
