New song 𝘚𝘌𝘝𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘏 𝘍𝘓𝘖𝘖𝘙 is out today, two weeks ahead of our debut live performance at MUTEK Montreal.

A spacey, expertly catchy, hi-fi dream-synth-pop track, Seventh Floor shapeshifts to fit the mood of a neon-lit high street, or a moody nightdrive, ideally through hills (think Hollywood Hills / Camillien Houde etc). Tess sings of love and lust in the concrete jungle, while whispers, speeding cars, and wind chimes echo throughout the track. The common thread, whether being physical or auditory, is universal: it’s the thread of touch.

MoM, DJ based out of the Andalusian city of Cordoba. His first experiences with mixing tables was back in 1989 when he was attracted by acid house music and the latest pieces on funky and disco music. His first professional experience at a DJ booth was around techno music at clubs like Teiker and Plató, two of the most renowned clubs in Cordoba.

In 1993 is when he started to listen to the first deep records through WORKS music label. During this period is when he met  a DJ with more experience, Miguel Martín who introduced him to the richness and depth of electronic music. The Spanish music label CONTRASEÑA was still publishing the latest records of electronic guitar but it also had a special connection with the dance floors through their depth.

Miguel’s influence on MoM was such, that even years after Miguel’s death in 2009, he created a radio show called “mut&mut” along with the speaker Jesús Zamora. The name of the show was a tribute to “MUT” the name of the only maxi-single published by Miguel Martín. 
MoM´s experience and creativity allowed him to take on a new professional challenge: leading Pep´s Records marketing department in Madrid.

After a few years of working and achieving good results he decides to create Carta de Ajuste Comunicación ,his own Management and Marketing agency. During this period he performed sessions in Córdoba, Sevilla, Tarifa, Caños de Meca, Marbella, Madrid, along with various cities around Spain.

His sessions are mainly based on house and tech-house but in 2009 he rediscovers his passion for deep music and starts exploring with darker sounds and slower speeds.

Visionquest’s long-term friends, confidantes and resident party-animals Footprintz release the new single to be taken from their long-awaited debut album, ‘Dangers Of The Mouth’

You’ve come to expect dark and deep from the Visionquest sound and it’s with ‘Dangers Of The Mouth’ that Footprintz deliver. Tinged with Marc Almond-esque vocals and distant New Romantic influences, this is twisted synth-pop soul for the urban generation; production that stands on mystical plains removed from revered heroes.

Plucking cosmic basslines from distant constellations, man of the moment Jimmy Edgar has warped ‘Dangers Of The Mouth’ into a thumping and distorted, slow motion techno slant.  The second comes from Turbo’s head honcho Tiga who employs kapanlogo rhythms that open into breakbeat bass, destined for late-night sunsets and early morning sun-rises.

Having met at an after-hours party at the tender age of 15, Addy Weitzman and Clarian North’s Footprintz project is an attempt to channel the far-flung kaleidoscopic dancefloors and cosmic parallels they’ve journeyed for the last decade, into tranquilised, 80’s tinged-pop in the only way they know how.

Having already played the world over, Footprintz are a unique proposition; eager to take you to that deep and dark place in the early morning hours. Ready and willing to change the musical landscape with their debut album due in early 2013 on Visionquest, Footprintz show little signs of slowing.
