'Silhouette' was written in 2022. It started with that jerky rhythm we hear in the intro/verse and grew from there. The song discusses the not knowing who you are because of a particular trauma in your life. Then being blessed to find a loved one who can save you from yourself.

"The idea for 'Friends Like These' came about from a conversation with my 15 yr old - ‘You can't just go up to people, say hey, and make friends. It's much more complex due to social media status and cliques’. I feel this sentiment is echoed in similar challenges and anxieties around forming new friendships as you go through life". The song's springy backbone and soaring, ear-catching choruses will get any listener in a hyped mood for any day or night.

The song was written two years ago as Diarmuid’s eldest son turned eighteen. The idea of writing a song giving advice to your younger self brought ‘Pass It On’ to life very quickly. Simple effective advice; be yourself, stand tall, be kind, watch out for the disingenuous. 

From a delicate beginning of acoustic guitar (recorded in the house jacks for ultimate natural reverb) to the anthemic big chorus “Eyes on the prize. Grá mór inside” ‘Pass It On’ is sure to lift the hearts and feet of audiences this Summer.

Diarmuid says of the Wayside lyrics - "My Da always said he had gotten more hardship than me growing up. I reckon his Da said the same and now I'm saying the same to my son. There is one thing however that has been consistent with men through time and that's the inability to talk about their feelings. Us men need to speak up when we need help, reach out to somebody, anybody, just reach out."
