Garth Bennett AKA Jermaine Soul is a Leeds-born, Birmingham based electronic producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist. Born and raised in and around Birmingham, versatile vocalist and songwriter Utelka Johnson is emerging quickly onto the dance and alternative soul musics scenes. The fluid collaboration between the two is a refreshing and tasteful soul soothing number. 50Dix really turned our heads with his very unique take on Hip Hop and Footwork, which he is showing off perfect on the latest release for our Dark Real Dark label.

On "JANGHEL" you are greeted by an old school inspired headnodding beat, before 50Dix unleashes fast breaks, simultaneously doubles up the tempo and creates a fast-but-slow-kinda track ready for any dancefloor. A true amalgamation of warm, embracing frequencies and feverish percussion.
"WHO'SGOTTHEFLOWNOW" sees 50Dix return to this trademark sound. Once you hear the soulful piano chords, dreamy synth lines and chopped-up samples you‘ll see yourself driving through LA in a Chevy Bel Air 56. 50Dix interrupts you from this daydream with racing drums and snares but keeps an overall fluid vibe, creating an atmosphere of pure soul dripping out of this track.

50Dix is an alter-ego of Israeli musician and producer Andrey Orenstein.

Andrey (aka Amor Entrave, Do You Like Trains?) is into playing live electronics and collaborates a lot with various indie and jazz musicians.

50Dix's sound is based on the combination of his specific musical interests: '90s British jungle and classic Chicago juke. Juggling with stylistic cues from both genres at 160-165 bpm, 50Dix's music is constantly changing and always staying fresh and tricky.
