This one was interesting to make.
First, I wanted to do a straight up remix (with the stems) and just flip it into a more chaotic DnB style with crazy rhythms, but the stems were down. Instead of just asking Xtrullor for them, I turned it into a remake with new sounds.
Second, people were talking about mixing on Lockyn's Discord, and whether EQing was really that important to the mix. Other than sound design (and beating the guitars into shape), I made this without any mixing EQs, just being careful with the volume levels.

Xtrullor - Event Horizon (Wontolla remake)

Treehouse is an album about memories, lost and forgotten as well as new. Each song reflects a stage in life. Each letter on the albums cover is related to memories that were made or remembered during the production of the album. 

Production started in May, starting with the final track Hindsight. It was originally meant to be a short EP centred around Hindsight, but it became more as time progressed. Blithe was the second song to be written for the album, and was pretty much a happy accident. Intro was also written about this time. Backlash was the quickest song to make, only taking a day to produce. It was released as a teaser track early. The final track to be made was Triumph. It's a powerful and energetic track with a lot of classic electro sounds. The last part of the song was fully improvised, as the original project for the song died, and we had to build off of an earlier render. So pretty much 90% of the song is built off of a MP3 file. The art was made at the end of all the production. It contains 4 photos, all related to Battre. 

We want to thank all our friends who helped us make this album (you know who you are). You were all a huge help.
