Fo:rakt is an electronic music producer, Dj and Live-akt sprung from the mud and dirt that is the underground music scene of Gothenburg, Sweden - as well as the actual ground it sits in.

This is his first release as Fo:rakt.
He is also one part of deep/hypnotic techno duo "Akt II" (Andra Akten), with a couple of releases in store, including an Ep in three akts on Dutch label "Lateral Fragments"

Apart from performing and producing, he's also been involved in several underground clubs, festivals and crews throughout the years. Including "Mythos", "Tekla" and "Rottweiler Bar" - where he was also a Resident Dj.

Apart from the love for Hypnotic and Ambient Techno, he also really fancy digging his fingers deep into the beauty and the filth of Ebm and Acid Basslines.
His performances both as a DJ and Live-akt always comes with lots of playfulness, quite a bit of room for improvisation, inspiring mistakes and akting in the moment.

This mix was recorded live from Reaktor's Katharsis event in 2017.  For those that don't know, Katharsis happens once a year and is dedicated to the faster, harder and more industrial side of techno.  This was my entire 3 hour set from that night.

Over the last few years we have built a steady relationship doing events together and sharing our passion for this music.  We are teaming up once again for ADE 2018 and releasing this mix as a thank you to all our followers and supporters.

Been making music almost for as long as I can remember, I got my first set of strings age 5.
Started dj-ing and producing mainly for the dance floor about 8 years ago together with a friend as “Andra Akten”(Akt II), focusing on Deep and Hypnotic Techno.
Lately I’ve been exploring darker & a bit more dynamic kinds of Techno together with a bit of Acid and Ebm.

About the mix:
There are Two New & Unreleased tracks of mine, aswell as a beauty by fellow Rottweiler Resident “Billie Jo”.
And to start it all: “Gbg” by “SHXCXCHCXSH”

We are very happy to start a new podcast series, focusing on Ambient music. For the first episode, we honored to welcome the Berlin-based DJ X tin. 

Enjoy this beautiful 1 hour trip, between dark and atmospheric vibes through drone and field recording sounds.

Those Ambient Sleepers podcasts will be aired bi-monthly on the radio Refuge Worldwide / @refugeworldwide (a fundraising platform working with a young womxn’s centre, refugee, etc.. / offering visibility to minorities and fights against all kinds of discrimination).

Austrian-born, she started off producing electronic music and being active part of Salzburgs underground techno szene, with two releases out on local labels. Berlin shaped her exploring worlds between dark dystopian techno, hypnotic and experimental ambient, which she blends in carefully curated mixes since 2015.

X tin, in her hometown by choice, played at many major venues and events, amongst others - THE BRVTALIST in Ohm and FLEISCH, further in Munich, Rote Sonne for Mess. Internationally, her music could be heard in Paris Champ Libre, fashion weeks Cicciolina Party, Organik festival afterparty in Korner-Taipei, PAG in Tel Aviv, EXILE and APHOTIC in New York and Volnost in Seoul. She holds residencies in Disciplina - Vladivostok/RU, Trashera - Berlin and Heizkeller - Salzburg.

In her own productions, field recording plays an essential role. Shapeshifting sound experiments, drifting from meditative dream like ethereal scenes to intense bone deep noise nightmares, presented in the form of live pieces for various performances by Butoh dancer VALENTIN TSZIN in Russia and various locations all over europe.

She uses sound to connect to the crowd through deep emotions and fills up the room with atmospheric intense trips in waveform. Distorting genres, blurring lines between styles and layering sceneries, while never lacking a specific taste and powerful character. An eclectic choice of rhythms are sending travellers through deep ambient, mesmerizing electronic up to dark hypnotic- and energetic industrial techno.

Her signature is described by a room full of intense feelings, sweat and a never lost lust for moving bodies.

He's also been a working force in the scen for years. Involved in several clubs, venues & crews. Including "Mythos", "Tekla", "Ivans", aswell as the infamous "Rottweiler Bar" - where he was also a Resident Dj.

In September 2024, his first release as "Fo:rakt" was out on "Ketoskop".
