From The Hip (one take improv lead) 4.4.14

Sometimes stuff just flows out of you without much effort..this is one of those things. Not difficult and not for everyone but those that enjoy Neurosis will know why it pleases me. 

Ode To Neurot

Here's a little demo track I did today with my a couple of riffs I have been kicking around in drop D. Guitar Signal chain for the nerds is: Jim Dunlop Jazz III XL (Red Nylon), ESP LTD GL-256 strat loaded with Dimarzio Injector neck and bridge and a Area 64 in the middle, MXR il torino overdrive, VHT/Fryette Pittbull Ultralead clean channel w/ treble and mids at 12noon but the bass is all the way up, and then a MXR Carbon Copy in the efx loop, going through a Mesa Boogie 2x12 recto cab, being captured by a Sennhieser E609 mic slightly off axis...no DAW effects.  
Bass Signal chain is: MTD Kingston 5 with EMG MM5CS, through an Ampeg Micro VR stack D.I. into Mackie Onyx BlackBird...no DAW effects. 
Drums: EZ Drummer 2
