i saw my death off to my left and it looked like a spider.
i'd seen it before but then it looked like a door
and before that it looked like a raven.
and then sometimes it just looks like a shadow.

the raven was white and in flight at my left headed west.
the country was lush and rough
lava, pine trees, and springwater.
