@big-ever is the new moniker of Sydney-born, Berlin-based music producer Thomas McAlister. Over 2016-19 Big Ever released a string of EPs and singles under the name Cop Envy; through Black Opal, Templar Sound, Cry Baby Records, Decisions and Hypercolour. @inciensorecs is hyped to release the debut Big Ever EP 'Otto' as the first in its run of very exciting records coming out in 2021.

In this take over by the label TECNOLOGÍAS ELEMENTALES (Buenos Aires / Berlin), they present a selection of Djs and live acts to introduce their second album.  This encounter took place on a very special day: April 2nd in Argentina commemorates the victims of the Malvinas War, a bloody confrontation between the neoliberal government of Margaret Thatcher and the murderous Argentine dictatorship over British-occupied territory. 
Tomás Nochteff, poet, musician and founder of Argentinean cult band Dios, and one half of electronic post punk Duo Mueran Humanos introduces for the first time an invaluable set of unpublished material: an archive of raw, distorted and loop based experimentations made during many years of musical research.  Diamin was in charge of the selection and mixing.

21 aye, A milestone for some and number for others, we’re the latter. For broadcast number twenty one we have a very special guest that goes by the name of Soulscaper aka Eugene Pascal aka yoojene aka the prince of lightness aka the enigmatic enigma, bringing us a beautifully woven soundscape of live recording’s. 

Eugene has developed into quite the young man, at such a young age with such a good ear for music, Merriware, his label, has championed many a local talent since its birth and he himself has championed many a local DJ with his beautiful presence on the dance floor accompanied by his trademark yelps and his bullshit cute smirk. He’s released quality after quality pieces of music as well as delivering on the DJ front, he is showing no signs of easing up. 
If you’ve met the man himself you’d already want to introduce him to the parents, he’s a can-do bloke and he’s been a huge hand at Inner Varnika and we can’t imagine life without him. If you aren’t keeping an eye on him you should be. 

The mix, well its fucking beautiful, a kind of poetic eeriness, I’ve listened to it in countless scenario’s and I’m yet to find a place it doesn’t fit unless you’re beefing up for stereo (rip). My dream scenario is to listen to it on headphones next to a misty lake with a few jazz cigarillo’s but I’m yet to make that come true (please do it if possible). The intrinsic soundscapes that come together over the 80 minute period are somewhat hypnotizing, in the fact you find yourself in places and you don’t know how you got there. This one is a solo listen, good quality headphones on a full belly.

Our next mix is made by Moopie. For those who don’t know, he’s running the great ‘A Colourful Storm’ label. 
The first time I encountered the label’s existence, was at the label’s inaugural release of the Denial - California Dreaming 7” EP. A sweet minimal wave interpretation of ‘California Dreamin’, most known by the version from the Mamas and the Papas. Re-issued by A Colourful Storm, delivered in a beautifully designed cardboard carton sleeve.
It’s hard to pick a few of the highlights from the label, but I’m gonna try by mentioning the Christoph De Babalon, Kallista Kult, and upcoming Désaccord Majeur 3 track EP (so nice!) material. 
Moopie is Beijing-born and based in Melbourne, Australia. His mix turned out to be a dreamy, mostly 90’’s IDM selection, getting more bleepy techno-ish towards the end. Thanks for this. Enjoy.
