‘For home use only’ is an anti-club social, a chance to get to know someone/something. A series of transmissions purely dedicated to exploring the other side.

So, here we are again, partaking in part-time life with a part-time attitude. Who’s up for a little break? God knows we all need one. Considering how chaotic things are at the moment I think it's time we get a bit of respite in our lives, in the form of an audible vacation. Sit back, sip an imaginary cocktail on a fictional deckchair, on the deck of a mythical cruise ship.
The captains of this cruise are Chomley, the terrible twosome, on their never-ending quest to make your life that little bit better. 

The Naarm based duo are fluent in fairytales, putting the mind at ease and your feet to good use, weaponising their talents across all different types of dance floors. Their mix’s hit every single time and this one hits hardest of all. 

I think I’ve (subconsciously) kept this mix to myself, because I find it so special. I’ve had to snap myself out of the greed and let the world experience the profound beauty of the 4 hours that follow, after a click of the play button. It truly encapsulates the aesthetic of FHUO and then transcends it; A mood for every day of the week, uncovered gems in every playthrough, truly a gift that will keep on giving long into the future.

This mix has been my rock for the past few months now. 
Things are pretty dicey out there, and this has been pure solace, a sense of romantic respite in such a chaotic time. 

Alas, no longer should this be enjoyed by me solely, it’s time for you to take the plunge.

"Piano Mix" by, in mine and many local's opinions, one of Australia's best djs, @moopie...

Moopie has been around in the scene as long as I've been clubbing (even longer). I have very vivid memories of watching him dj at the young age of 18/19 in support of DJ Nobu at the iconic Mercat (rip).. and again at Inner Varnika in 2018 (one of the most memorable dance floor experiences I can remember to date)..  a selector who can do it all.. from electro, to non-club, to experimental and d&b, to minimal, to techno, to tech house... 

Here, the multifaceted, technically wizard-like DJ, NTS show host, and curator of the incredible @acolourfulstorm label, showcases his non-electronic, ambient leanings with a stunning mix filled with rare "piano" studded oddities... no one does it better

It was my first Draaimolen and no one knew it which was great. 
It was also my first encounter with Addit Audio and their sound system installed for the first time in its full glory. I can't recall being brought to tears during one soundcheck.
So there were no news, no algorithms, no expectations to be disappointed. The pit was not announced. It felt like a curious manifestation of something paranormal.
Wonderful sound system, records and sweetest weather.  
Those who found us in the small pit in the middle of the forest most likely didn't know what was going on. 
For the most part of the first 5 hours I figured out that it would be great to play for and with the sound guy, playing right and wrong records and figuring out which one sound good. Research and development mission for Addit Audio.
After 5 hours ISAbella joined for a brief back to back session. Everything can happen in the realm of paranormal. Luckily she stayed and we played together for the next 3 hours until the last song, the one for the deceased. Probably as close as it gets to transcendence.

Silhouetted against the RGB pulse of the club lighting rig you see two figures in the DJ booth – one female, bouncing with effervescent energy and feeding off the buzz from the dancefloor, and one male, working the controls with the subdued calm of a Zen master. From the speakers comes the expected throb, but something is different. Rather than formulaic kick-hat-snare metronome, it is as if a widescreen switch has been flipped, the periphery of your hearing being licked with unknown sound waves that had been criminally absent from your night.

Berlin based duo Nadja Lind and Helmut Ebritsch have been crafting audio under the Klartraum banner since 2006 and co-run the much admired Lucidflow label, notching up admirers such as progressive icon Hernan Catteneo, French techno legend Laurent Garnier, figurehead of deep Seth Troxler, legendary techno outfit Slam and one of the musical directors of Fabric in the shape of Terry Francis. Such recognition does not come without merit. Nadja is a successful solo artist in her own right with an impressive catalogue to her name and a bustling globetrotting DJing schedule. Helmut is a master of production, cutting his teeth in the simple tracker tools that found their way onto the Commodore platforms in the pre-internet era, before lending his accomplished keyboard playing and mastering skills to the Klartraum pairing.

A ying and yang of personalities melts together to create the iconic Klatraum sound, dancing with Nadja’s ceaseless energy and caressing with Helmut’s measured style. The middle ground between the pair comes from a love for Metaphysical Psychology. Often producers may speak of “spirituality” in their work but how often does it translate into their music? Very little. Here, by understanding the deeper levels of psychology, Klartraum’s productions hit deeper than bedrock – the bass velvets you, the kicks push through the ribcage, the melodies lead your mind by the hand in a merry dance through wonderland.
