@seagit_arc es un DJ y productor con base en Ciudad de México, poseedor de una personalidad exótica y armoniosa que se desenvuelve a través de diversos estilos con matices de entre el ambient, experimental y música corporea. El año pasado Seagit Arc lanzo un trabajo de corta duración para Antimateria Sonora, etéreo como niebla espesa que se mueve entre melodías simples pero envolventes.

If you had to trade your USB with one DJ, who would it be and why?

URA (Zac MacArthur)! Mans got tunes. 

How do you typically prepare a mix?

I fill a stick or a bag with music I want to play. Try not to overthink it. After a while I feel like intuition is king.

Who do you think is the most underrated artist of our time?

3 goals for 2022 that has nothing to do with music?

If you had to go back in time music wise what era would it be and why?

I think I’d stay right here. Insane music coming out right now!

Huerco S and DJ Healthy at Public Records. Refreshing club music. Love it.

What was your first gig? How did it go? 

It was in a bar in the suburbs using Virtual DJ. My girlfriend at the time was celebrating her birthday. We were 16. It was hype.

Born in 1972 and growing up in the south of England during the electronica-rich, synth-pop Eighties, and inspired by the likes of Jarre, Tangerine Dream and Vangelis, he quickly became adept at studying and reverse-engineering his favourite electronic tracks, so that he could later emulate them, leading to basic understandings of musical theories and production.

He continued to gain experience, becoming a keyboardist for a few live-performing bands during his early years, whom he helped produce original tracks, before moving on to solo ambient/experimental work.

Although entirely self-taught, he feels the skills he has developed allow him to improvise more freely and emotionally, without the constraints normally inherited by traditional training.

Sparked by the emergence and fast growing online music community, that offer a much easier way to reach listeners, he reinvented himself under the alias of State Azure, finally releasing his first album 'Outlines' in December 2011.

The third offering in our mix series is a live recording of Priori and Cousin's dj set at Sustain Release 2024. Recorded on the last morning between 6am and 1pm on what was meant to be an ambient stage, it featured everything a 3 day festival closing set should. Eclectic picks, strange and emotional sounds, dubious transitions and a few feigned endings. Massive thanks to all the dancers, the Sustain staff (Aurora, Ash and everybody else who put their blood, sweat and tears into this), the music makers, the birds, the stars.

A true artist always strives for new challenges to experience the unexpected, to master a different approach to the existing and to broaden one's mind. Marcus Worgull did just that with his Torture the Artist's anniversary art:cast that was meant to be an all ambient mix in the first place. In the end it turned out to be something else, something different, but still something that is 100% Marcus Worgull. It's become a mix care- and skillfully compiled by one that knows his craft in and outside the world's clubs, by one who always puts music first and hopes it has a relevance for his audience as it has for him. It's Marcus' honesty, his authenticity but also his skills as a DJ and producer that have made him a scene's mainstay and favorite for almost two decades. Of course, releases like his 'Love Song EP', including the highly appreciated The Cure remake featuring Fink, his 'Lenoix EP' in collaboration with Peter Pardeike or his dub-influenced EP 'Broad Horizons' - all out on Innervisions - enhanced Marcus' profile as a producer and introduced him to a global audience.
