The Association for Art History is the subject association for art history in the UK. 

Our organisation was set up in 1974 by a group of people passionate about art history. They recognised the social value and importance of art history, and founded an organisation based on a broad and inclusive art history, regardless of background or schooling.

Now, just as then, we promote art history in schools, colleges, museums and universities up and down the country, publishing and presenting new art history research and shaping the future for our subject.
