One of my first attempts at making a song with actual lyrics… It was actually my second song with lyrics now that I think about it. Shows me that I've actually made some improvement since starting to compose. :)

This song is about the uncertainty, frustration, and bitter-sweet excitement of having newfound feelings for a special someone. The story is about a young man who realizes he [likes] a young lady but isn't sure how to label his feelings. Is it love? It's too soon to tell. In his inner struggle to puzzle out his emotions, he tries to get closer to this young lady, but, every time he attempts to acquaint himself with her and find out more about her, something prevents him from doing so. He's consistently interrupted by something and finds it hard to close the distance between them, as if she where in a different, exclusive world where he didn't belong. Yet, he can't stop himself from admiring her from afar and constantly wishes he could bond and know her more. After trying several times (and failing) to get closer to her, he thinks to himself: "nothing will ever happen between us". This song was born out of that sentiment.

Nunca/Nada

This song is an introspective look at hidden fears, loneliness, self-doubt, regrets, and a sense of helplessness. Everyone has wounds and scars they don't share with others, things cast away to a dark corner of themselves, where no one can find them. Ultimately, only the power of Jesus Christ can heal these wounds, but the scars remain. Cynicism and self-pity are major themes in this song, as well as people's obliviousness and indifference regarding other's hardships and grief. Deep down, there's a fear of rejection and a beleif that people won't understand. Yet, it's precisely these scars and hardships everyone experiences that ideally should allow us to better understand each other, so we can relate to the pain. Journey deep inside your heart, to that secret place where you hide your lowest lows, the ones only you see, the invisible.
