At Overview Music we are exceptionally proud to present the next instalment in our curated LP series: Zone.

Last year’s Zone 1 was a VA compilation of epic proportions and we’ve really kept our foot on the gas for the sequel, delving into D&B’s underground to A&R some of the best talent around.

Zone 2 sees a veritable who’s who of up and coming artists, like En:vy, Cauzer and Offline, rubbing shoulders with some Overview stalwarts (hello again Gran Calavera!) alongside some of the scene’s leading lights, like Trex, Objectiv and Molecular.

Everyone’s brought their A game and the LP is, to put it mildly, packed to the brim with 21 absolute weapons. We could go on and on about it, but you should really just experience it for yourself. Prepare your ears and strap in for the rollercoaster that is Zone 2.

It's the last month of 2021 and we decided to have another debut on the label to finish the year with a bang! This is the 1st time we have an artist from South America releasing on the label and this release surely brings on the heat! We would like to present you "The King Ep" by Dunk! 

This producer has been consistently releasing on very respected labels such as Critical, Dispatch, Playaz, 31 Records amongst others and we are happy he has decided to send us some music for us to give it a home!

Hailing from the north side of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Jam Thieves has been operating as a solo act since 2020.  Looking to build on his renowned versatility as a drum and bass producer working across various corners of the genre, Jam Thieves’ solo work usually centres around his iconic minimal style – full of funk, vocals and an undeniably upbeat vibe. 

The title track ‘Mandrake’ is the perfect example of this new direction, building around a looping female vocal the track develops and drops into a heavy bassline roller led by the funk-fuelled staccato drum work that drives the tune through ever developing turns. ‘Moon Rock’ continues this theme with more vocal edits and progressive bass modulations. 

When combined with the head-down, tech-funk work out of ‘Savana’ and the guitar fused deep roller of ‘Mind Control’ the EP demonstrates the versatility of this talented producer. 

‘Machine Gun’, a killer collab with label favourite Nymfo, completes this spectacular first outing for Jam Thieves on the label.

Dispatch Recordings welcome back multi-talented Russian trailblazer and label favourite Black Barrel for a new project on the imprint, aptly entitled ‘Cancelled’, and you’ll soon hear why! Written off the back of an ill-fated trip to the UK in 2020 which unfortunately saw his visa revoked due to a number of governmental fuck ups, resulting in missing a number of booked shows, many individuals would’ve crumbled in the face of such circumstances, but not Black Barrel. Channelling the adversity of the trip into a new EP for Ant TC1’s seminal imprint, Black Barrel has come up with some of his finest work yet, and he’s well and truly at his best here.
