Forbidden Society Recordings hits 15 years in the game.

To celebrate the milestone, the label kicks off a remix series, split into several chapters. Part One brings together a raw selection of producers from across the spectrum: fresh energy from Vici and Drumago, Czech forces Raido & Gexan launching their new project Pandaemonium, and the winners of the remix contest, Seekraze and Bestial. Each rework flips Forbidden Society’s originals into new, uncompromising forms – proof that after 15 years, the label’s dark sound still hits with full force.

Forbidden Society also took care of two of his own older tracks, reimagining them into new versions.

With the world re opening again, label boss, merchandise brand owner and DJ/producer Forbidden Society has made a welcome return to dancefloors. And after revealing an LP on his self-titled imprint last year, as well as following this with a host of releases including his debut on Vision Recordings in 2020, his tour schedule has been packed since fans flooded clubs over recent months. 

Despite the lack of drum & bass nights, Forbidden Societystill committed himself to studio time and after bringing his music to some of Europe’s most infamous clubs he returns to unleashing his digital music. This time he’s welcomed Agressor Bunx into the fray for a take on the classic sounds which Forbidden Society has built on over the past two years – and their forthcoming record ‘Steel City’ certainly does not disappoint. 

Duo Agressor Bunx have cultivated their fierce sound and talent on a host of labels, so excitement has picked up around their forthcoming release through Forbidden Society. The three selectors perfectly engineer a sound which is slick but also devastating, something which is injected into the heart of their single ‘Steel City’, with the Ukrainians delivering theirno holds-barred sound. With Forbidden Society’s brooding stamp, and Agressor Bunx delivering their deep, pounding bass sounds both acts go for the jugular. The track is intense, in a way that Forbidden Society has cultivated over the last two years to an expert level and it highlights the work the producer has put into his signature. Together, Forbidden Society and Agressor Bunx prove that their music is back with full force. And within the live music venues it belongs. ‘Steel City’ is a reminder of that fact.

My dear friends, I’ve remixed Noisia. It still feels so surreal to me and I can’t really get my head around it. As a producer, I feel immensely honored to have been asked, it’s definitely the pinnacle of my career so far…I’m obviously super happy about it but I took the challenge humbly. 

An epic tune which was way ahead of its time and coincidentally brought me to Noisia in the first place. When they’ve approached me with the offer, I was lost for words, like are they really asking ME to remix it?! I was going around it in circles for 2 weeks before even touching it. It was an extremely challenging task for me, like I can honestly say I’ve never done anything harder in my life. The original alone is very complex and the guys have super high standards, which comes to no surprise really as its one of their seminal works and thanks to their insane attention to details they’ve become immortal legends, and not just within DNB. I’ve been working on it day and night for 8 long months, I didn’t want to let down both them as well as myself. I just wanted to make it work and in a way it helped me with my own progression as a producer. 

I’d just like to add that the original can’t be topped and I’ve just reworked it within my own domain. I hope you’re gonna like the remix, it’s a true lifechanger for me, I gave it my all and even more.

I am extremely honored to announce that I am a part of the Resonance IV remix album, with my remix of I Am Legion’s 'Choosing For You' coming out on VISION. 

Honestly I didn't expect this could happen to me again after having the chance to remix 'Exodus' for part III. I decided to take a different perspective on the track with which some of you might be surprised and I hope you like it. Still, the original is the best and I've just tried to apply my own vision to it. It was kind of special to work on this tune as we all know we lost a great person that was a part of this project.

Marty Pohl aka Řezník asked me for a track for his new film Na Plech. He wanted something loud, dirty techno that would fit the specific scene, and I think this track worked well there. The film has been quite successful and is being screened across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

I have been working on those tracks after my To The Threshold Album, some of the tunes was in the process already while i did the previous album. You can expect from this release hard Drum & Bass tunes, again i have been trying to do my best on all of those tunes! And possibly best sounding as i can, as sometimes it was not easy at all to do the right sound. I added on this release also one more experimental kind of Drum & Bass, 4/4 track, would not say its a Crossbreed one, then Electro remix from my side project Pornothrasher, as i enjoy to do Electro too as many of you know. I asked MC Coppa to record for me vocals for the track that is on the EP, and need to say im really happy with the result, not the heaviest DNB track, but rolls really good and hard enough to kick your ass! The Rest is my solo i would say pure Hard Drum & Bass tracks, how i like to produce and to play! I hope you enjoy this release, again i tested it at gigs, and the tunes just went greatly, some of them some of you asked on the net already. Thank you so much, and buy the vinyl to keep them alive. release date should be end of October, 4 tunes on vinyl and 4 tunes as digital extra bonus tracks - if you buy the vinyl EP you get with it unique code where you can download the digital release of FSRECS 008 with the extra 4 digital only tracks, two weeks as usual the tunes on digital shops.

Gauč Storytelling album od Gleba mě baví celý, ale pro mě tahle věc nějakym způsobem vyčnívá proto jsme domluvili že zremixuju tuhle věc. 
Je mi jasný že ne každýmu se to bude líbit, Glebovo fans možná budou mít radši origo a moji fans by radši uvítali DNB remix, ale věřim že si to svý příznivce najde. Nejsem limitovanej bpm a tohle mě fakt bavilo. 
Plánujeme i instro na Glebovo nový album, tak uvidíme jak to půjde.

For some hard Drum & Bass fans maybe like a dream come true:) The collaboration of this track went really good, and the result is proper Drum & Bass smasher with big cinematic intro that turns into hard DNB track with big distorted reece & smashing drums! Tested and works really good, specially if you start with this one! Forbidden Society returns on his self-titled label following his EP release on Noisia’s acclaimed Vision Recordings, as well as his ‘Liminal Point’ LP which he dropped at the start of 2020. This time the Czech pioneer follows up on these climatic releases with a single which will once again hint at the producer and DJs undeniable work ethic. Known for being one of the most recognised figures in Czechia, he’s renowned for bringing his cut-throat sounds to thousands of people across Europe, something which has currently been put on hold within a live setting; but he’s still pushing forward by delivering his music to the vast audiences he’s built within the online world too. Both ‘Spectral’ and ‘Hypno’ are a testament to his success, even within uncertain times.
‘Spectral’ is drawn for first on top of understated pads and ethereal bass sounds cutting into the mix, as your gradually pulled into its first build up. As it breaks, you’re left to drown in the tracks impactful subs. Meanwhile, ‘Hypno’ follows the same more stripped back pattern Forbidden Society has been moving towards. With a driving, yet raw percussive force, ‘Hypno’ is intoxicating in its roll out. It’s another expertly crafted release from Forbidden Society, one which signals that there’s more to come from the label owner in the latter half of 2020. He’s still continuing to push his influence.
