'Go Get It'

Over the past couple of years Forced Random - the London collective built around multi-instrumentalist and producer Oliver Girdler - have quietly built up a faithful following amongst music fans and critics alike, releasing two EP's of elegantly twisted and sparse music since autumn 2013. Described by NME as "a somnolent and heavily anaesthetised trip down the sinkhole of introspection...thrilling", the earlier works of Girdler were stripped-back bedroom gems, full of lyrical longing and restrained homemade beauty; Forced Random in 2015 is a different beast entirely...but no less intriguing. 

New track 'Go Get It' finds an artist breaking out of the bedroom-studio and into the wider world, building an expansive and widescreen landscape upon the foundations of his signature sound; gigantic guitars and driving drums swirl around Girdler's unique voice, delivering a surprisingly life-affirming and poignant lyrical message: 

"Now that those days have gone
It means the time has come
It's time to go...
Go get it" 

Anthemic and cinematic, 'Go Get It' is a striking leap forward for Forced Random, delivering an assured and effortless message of intent, a stunning combination of My Bloody Valentine 'Loveless'-era sonic artistry and Sparklehorse lo-fi delicacy; it's at once familiar and yet totally unique. Produced and recorded by Girdler in various living rooms and studios around London and mixed by mixed by acclaimed engineer Justin Leeah (Conor Oberst, At The Drive In) at Sound + Vision in El Paso, Texas, the track is taken from the upcoming EP 'Overthink Overact Overshare'.
