Having signed exclusively to Proximity earlier in the year, North London based duo Tephra & Arkoze are back with their second release with us! They proudly present a devastating single titled The Lions Den / Pressure!  

The Lions Den certainly does what it says on the tin as this aggressive number keeps the listener well aware of their surroundings with its weighty drums, heavy bassline and growling vibes. Approach with caution! On the flip the boys feature the vocal talents of Innate MC with Pressure! A much more mellower vibe here but the tracks still ticks all the boxes when it comes to craftsmanship, nasty beats and tasty basslines! The vocals are the icing on the cake with this one!

Mikal returns for his second release on FORCE Recordings after a string of MONSTER hits on Metal Headz, Shogun, Soundtrax & Stepping Forward - FOUNDATION & DIMENSION are up-front PURE Drum & Bass!

Continuing to expand on his dynamic library of songs, "Foundation" is an immaculately produced, Jungle influenced DnB jam delivering that oldschool vibe in a newschool way. Stout drum rhythms under laidback basslines and the always perfect 'bleeps' combine with the main vocal hook describing the 'responsibility of the drums'. It's this melding of the elements sealing the track together like thunder and lightning that makes "Foundation" sure fire in the mix and on the floor!

On the flip, Dimension starts its momentum quickly with luring uses of reverb and technical drum fills accenting each new movement of the tune. Mikal, unwilling to do a one and done, really shines on the B-Cut here - leading you through dense sonic territory and basslines that echo in your mind long after the song has ended.

Mikal and the music he makes are a testament to the longevity of Jungle and Drum & Bass.... a new face with a letter of recommendation from the old guard of UK DnB, making MAJOR moves with REAL DnB pressure!

As the home of A1-VOODOO, ACID_LAB, MIKAL, AIRSTRIKE, GREMLINZ, JAYBEE, SENSENET, GRIDLOK, ACTRAISER, MALAKY, GENR8, DSTAR, NOAH D, MSDOS, SOUL CULTURE, VECTOR BURN, SEVERITY ZERO, SOUL DEFIANCE... and many others - Force Recordings is the United States longest continuously operating DnB imprint. Originally started in 1998 as an outlet for music produced by members of the STATESIDE COLLECTIVE DJ Crew from Tampa Florida. Today the stable continues on for those members and more.

Adepth, 25 years old DJ from Prague, The Czech Republic. He started mixing the music in 2013 thanks to a friend. After hours and hours spent behind the mix counter and playing at little events, first initial achievements are coming – winning several contests, playing at bigger events and last but not least, admission to the DarkSide Records that significantly changed his DJ career. Over the time he was playing in most of the clubs, big or small, all around the country, at Let It Roll festival, also in other countries like Germany, and played with such famous names like The Clamps, Dc Breaks, Prolix, Tr Tactics, Cod3x, Disphonia, Disprove, Zombie Cats and many more. He is also an author of Darkcast project which is focusing on the best production of important DnB producers.
