"I met Chiwoniso in Harare ( Zimbabwe) during the HIFA festival in 2006, I was immediately captured by her voice and her amazing stage presence. We met afterwards and had a chat about life and music, both left with a promise to make music together.  Few years later (2011) I was called back to perform in Harare again, Chi agreed to write the lyrics on two songs I was working on. The result was just a-m-a-z-i-n-g, when I discussed money she answered “I just would like you to play in my album next time..”  Miss you Chi   a xx

"The Long Winter" was inspired by my first winter in London..it seemed to last forever !
From the album "Tears of Joy" released on 2005, Recorded over a residency with hailed engineer Martin Levan at Red Kite Studios in the seclusion of deepest Carmarthenshire.
I was joined by a host of world class musicians.
