"Foreign Twiinz" aka, Shawn & Dashawn Butler are African American and Turkish dubstep producers born on August 19, 1993 in Fort Hood, TX.  Born to a military father, The twins resided in Germany, Turkey and the US while their father served. The twins re-located back to Texas in 1999.  This time, they would call Houston their home.  

Shawn & DaShawn became interested in DJing when in March of 2013, they attended their first festival festival, UME, in South Padre Island TX.  After, they began teaching themselves to DJ and started playing small college parties and events around where they attended college, Texas A&M University in August of 2013.  Their interest began to grow and in Summer of 2014, their journey into production started. "Foreign Twiinz" began to take shape and make their mark within the college market in College Station, Houston, and surrounding cities. Soon after, their fan base grew out of state and they was invited to play the 2015 Backwoods Music Festival. Unfortunately in 2016 1/2 of "Foreign Twiinz" aka Shawn had to step away from the scene and his twin DaShawn continued as a solo act until mid 2021 whereas DaShawn has chosen to step away also and focus on some personal & family development until 2024. 


With influences such as Bro Safari, Excision, Zedd and many others, "Foreign Twiinz" has elevated into one of the top college EDM acts in Texas.  Shawn & Dashawn look to production as an outlet to their many hardships they have faced not only as military children, but a minority break out into an industry where not many thrive.  

Shawn & DaShawn Butler aka "Foreign Twiinz" now reside in Houston, TX.  As producers of Dubstep, The twins uses their southern influences as well as EDM influences to produce unique sounds that many have taken a liking to.
