Born from his Inherent experimenting and engaging with analogue machines - the album is derived from live hardware recordings during 2021 - documenting an echo chamber of experiences - carving out a captivating work of art, joining the dots of inspiration between light and dark from emotive atmospheric immersion to soul searching abstraction and club-focused tracks - all crafted with his unique approach to electronic music.

Selected singles from the album will be released over 2021 prior to official release end of the year.
Early access to the full album release will be exclusively on Bandcamp. 
The BC release will include an exclusive recording of selected tracks from the album pieced together and performed live.

Manchester (UK) based Mazayr has always felt a deep connection to music. Experimenting with electronic music for well over a decade, his passion for creativity stems from much earlier as a keen drummer in his youth. This love for rhythm naturally translated to dance music and birthed a tireless focus on finding his own sound as a music producer. Mazayr’s sound has arrived at a blend of emotional, uplifting and melancholic melodies, intertwined with punchy, solid grooves. Influences come from an eclectic mix of genres and as an artist his tracks are built to stand the test of time. His style has earned him debuts on labels such as The Purr, Cigarette Music and Canopy Sounds, with more exciting projects already in the pipeline. As a DJ, Mazayr has frequented various venues across Manchester, including Pangaea Festival and the infamous Sankeys nightclub. In 2019, he began hosting events and a mix series under the Right Frequency banner to showcase melodic house music.

Markus Swarz - Inception [Leisure]

"Cargo Cult" EP is not just a collection of songs. This study of human tendency to create illusory systems of faith and rituals in pursuit of unattainable or false ideals, criticism of the consumer society and blind, as well as deep immersion in personal existential dead ends and disappointments. This is a powerful conceptual frame for creating a memorable, thinking and emotionally charged musical work; created, produced and mixed by mandruvá & Ruksby.

External imitation without understanding the essence, blind faith in the ritual as a means of achieving the desired, the gap between action and the real result, the creation of illusory systems to obtain an unattainable good. The combination of "primitive", acoustic, ethnic sounds (drums, percussion, folklore motifs) with cold, mechanistic electronics, industrial, noise. 

This reflects a mixture of traditional and modern, ritual and technology. Repeating rhythms, mantras, looped samples, increasing tension - creating a sensation of the transient state of the participants in the cult.

To wrap up this EP, we’re thrilled to have three outstanding producers on board once again: Mverto Futura from Guatemala, along with TKUZ and Leonor from Mexico — each delivering their own distinctive soundscapes to shape “Cargo Cult”

Forerunners has released a steady stream of immersive and unique tracks over the past 15 years, with remixes and originals on Pure Progressive, Sudbeat, Anjunadeep, Onedotsixtwo, Silk Music, Perfecto, and others. He has worked with the likes of Solarstone, Hybrid, Hernan Cattaneo, Tripswitch, and many others. Something of an enigma as an artist, this Arizona based producer is definitely in the ‘quality over quantity’ camp. Forerunners music is about the slow build, the journey, where filters ebb and flow, layers creep to the front then withdraw, where the percussion is hypnotic and the synths repetitive, and the melody draws the listener in with its subtlety, rather than a crass fanfare. It’s either early night material for trance rooms, or peak time material for intelligent progressive floors – spun by DJs the likes of Guy J to Paul van Dyk and everyone in between. This is what electronic dance music is all about.
