Emmasierra Songs is proud to present the sophomore effort, and second full length album in 8 months, from electronic music artist Forest Robots, “Timberline and Mountain Crest”. Following the critical success of the first album, “Supermoon Moonlight Part One”, Forest Robots (née Fran Dominguez) continues to expand on the message of establishing a deep connection with Nature with an even wider sound palette. While the first album included a strong dynamic between electronic and orchestral music references, on this second effort Dominguez makes room to include synthwave, soul and funk while still retaining some orchestral elements-call it Orchestral or Ambient R&B. Much like the first album, “Timberline and Mountain Crest” is cinematic in scope but while “Supermoon” may have taken place within a forest, this follow up steps outside the timberline to explore new heights.

Emmasierra Songs presents the release of the single “Inevitable”, the latest work from artist Forest Robots (Francisco Dominguez). After the successful release of two full length albums in 2018, Dominguez takes a brief break from creating instrumental conceptual works and steps into the mic to deliver a vocal performance reminiscing of works from Depeche Mode, My Bloody Valentine and Cocteau Twins. The single makes use of propulsive bass lines and synth melodies to build a climatic chorus of wall-of-sound like guitars as he champions self empowerment in a world where large corporations constantly inflict self doubt on men and women and offer only consumerism as the exclusive path to meaningful self fulfillment. Heavy stuff but beware, you may be too busy enraptured in the spectral nature of the rhythm and melody the first few times you listen to the song to notice. Repeated listening enthusiastically recommended.
