Creating a complete and fulfilled dancefloor can be quite the task, keeping in mind all the various fundamentals required in the process. A dancefloor is made up of many different, beautiful individuals from all parts of the world, with each their own unique love for the psychedelic music and its scene. Every passionate dancer on the floor has their own reasons as to why the psychedelic music is somehow connected to their roots, triggers the endorphines and touches their soul. A well-composed dancefloor should refrain from turning into being solely dependent on who presses the play-button. A dancefloor can be considered a place wherein the music is the ceremony and the DJ is the facillitator. It should create space for getting to know each other, adapt and improve and ultimately transition into beings who connect with their likeminded creatures from our beautiful universe.

This Digital Shamans episode features MENTAL BUGS with a mix of the artist's debut album "Insectology", 10 tracks full of insects and completely acidic sounds, new music that will be at all festivals this year 2024. Mental Bugs is the Mexican psychedelic project created by Jair Osorio in early 2017. Jair starts his career as a DJ under the name of Mugwump, then decides to study musical production, making the perfect fusion between talent and knowledge. In 2018, After working on some tracks, he joined the Swiss label Digital Shamans Records, and released his debut EP called "Swarm Intelligence", which gained great acceptance in the dancefloors of the world, achieving international recognition. From this begins a great path of releases on different labels and in 2021 Their new EP called "Metamorfosis" came out. He is currently working on his first album called "Insectology" which will be released at the beginning of 2024. Mental Bugs gives us a new experience, full of unimaginable atmospheres, tiny beings and funny basslines that lead the mind to a pleasant journey, full of psychedelia that worth to experiment in the dancefloor.

Step into the sonic void with Nebula Shadows — a pulsating journey through the galaxy of sound that merges the kinetic energy of psytrance with the enigma of cosmic darkscapes. From the opening beat, the track locks into a driving rhythm, layered with shimmering synths that swirl like stellar dust in an interstellar wind. The bass rumbles beneath, steady and commanding, propelling listeners into the deep-space realm of the mind.

As the track unfolds, ethereal pads drift in and out, casting long shadows across the mindscape and illuminating hidden corners of the body’s dancefloor. Moments of silence give way to rising tension: a spiralling lead emerges, piercing the darkness and guiding you through a constellation of percussive shards. The interplay between light and shadow, surge and calm, gives the track its name — Nebula Shadows — evoking both creation and dissolution.
