This is Ethiopian Jazz. The original 7“ 45 RPM vinyl release in Mono from 1970 with Tilahun Gessesse contains two songs. A Side - „Kulun Manqualesh“ and B Side - „Lanchi Biye“. His unique sound comes along with elements of Jazz, Soul, Folk, World and Country. He combines melancholy with easiness. Maybe a very good description of the east African way of life in the early seventies. The best way to keep Tilahun Gessesse In honour is to bring his sound back to the contemporary dancefloor of ethno, organic and multicultural beats.
