Recorded at a Gala Concert of Organ and Brass, Lydbrook Band, Philip Wilby, Ian Holmes, Colston Hall, September 2012.

Commissioned by Lydbrook Band for the Royal Forest Jubilee June 2012, The Speech House, Coleford; first performed by Lydbrook Band, conductor Ian Holmes, as part of the Brass The Baton relay race, a 2012 cultural Olympiad project for brass bands.   

Diamond Fanfare is written for a special occasion; hidden within the festive music are two separate versions of part of the National Anthem.  Rhythmic drive and momentum is sustained by the percussion throughout whilst celebratory motifs are passed around the brass section, racing to a sparkling flourish at the finish.

Train Ride Thoughts

The future unfolds in a silent tension, suspended between movement and stillness, where gravity shapes destiny along invisible trajectories. In this architecture of expanding silence, equations stretch to infinity, constants fracture, and the self slips between layers of possibility. Every vibration becomes a signal of tomorrow, every pause a gateway between dimensions. Here, the cosmos whispers with mechanical rhythms, revealing a truth that transcends time: every path is born from silence, every force begins within, and the future is a gravity we learn to feel long before we reach it.
