@norfik is a project by Jeff Gill a prolific Chicago based producer and musician. Tracing a line from new age and midwestern soul, through to the hardcore continuum and beyond; Norfik mixes styles to create a sound entirely his own.

“Realization”, is the examination of a paradigm shift. This EP is very introspective and personal, but not in an unrelatable or navel gazing sort of way. As with a lot of great art, it feels more like being invited into the artists personal space where you get comfortable and slowly begin to peer into the their imagination. You hear their thoughts, feel their emotions, and you see their point of view. That is to say this album is as warm and inviting, as it is expansive and crystalline.

We have all experienced light bulb moments that seem to challenge our preconceived ideas and outlooks. These wellsprings can come on suddenly or slowly bubble under the surface. Epiphanies allow us to rise above our day to day consciousness in pursuit of revelations and realizations which drastically change our perspectives and values. These moments of sudden clarity can drastically alter our character and who we are. Walls are removed and where the enclosures once stood are now new views and perspectives from which to see.

So whether you are walking around a city, lost deep in meditation, or excitedly dancing in a club please realize that you won't have to find your purpose, it will find you.

Carte Blanche to the Brussels-based artist Antonin de Bemels, presenting the promising “CAVE” by La fin des pseudonymes, to be released at the end of the week on Thin Consolation. One hour of experimental grooves, percussive sounds, and an echo chamber of krautrock to reach another world of purple twilight, iridescent arbours, and undying roses. The sounds create an atmosphere of their own, filling out an expanse of landscapes, whilst one of the previous sounds slowly morphs whilst remaining in shape. With each invocation, audiences are summoned to witness the melodic and the percussive constantly argue, in search of new paths to tread. The result is storylike and abstract. Sometimes it soars. Marek Moskal (aka Moskalus) was born and currently resides in Ostrava, Czech Republic. He started his musical journey back in 2007 when he created his first YouTube channel where he would upload music from various artists to help them promote their music. With his second channel, he started doing music
videos because he wanted to be a part of the scene not only as a regular uploader, but as someone who wanted to express his feelings from music. In November 2014, he had his first big break by making the music video for Bambounou’s track “Onto This” which was released on 50Weapons. After that, he gained
a greater audience that helped him to work with labels such as: Lobster Theremin, Shall Not Fade, Die Orakel, Pinkman and Lehult. He has also had the opportunity to work with artists such as: Baltra, Fjaak, J. Albert and Benedict Frey. After years of listening to music and making videos for them, Moskalus has
developed a wide taste of music for himself. In his DJ sets you can expect to hear anything from disco, house, techno to even U.K. Garage, or dubstep from the golden era. All in all, his years of experience listening to music has translated into pleasant combination that can prove to be deadly on the dance floor.
