Inside the prosperous sanctuary.
Come with us, for we all must hide.
Disregard all the others who died.
Pestilence so fatal and dire,
Bodies burning in the funeral pyre.
Blood is its avatar and its seal.
The masque of the death is soon to be revealed.

Round, they spin in revelry and jest,
Blissfully unaware of what awaits them in the dark.

Be swayed by the music,
(Strike the hour and the world will never see you again).
One by one, they submit to masquerade.
Sleeping safe in ignorance,
(Strike the hour and the world will never see you again).
Bleeding face in the deathly masquerade, the masquerade.

Seven chambers dressed in tone,
No one dares tread the last one alone.
The clock chimes for their discontent,
Unsettled in the masquerade jest.
Come one, come all, we're starting the ball!
But who is that stranger there in the hall?
Cloak of black and face is red,
Imitation of victim to the Red Death.

He passes through, parting the crowds, he stalks.
As the midnight bell begins to sound, he walks.

Heading for the room with scarlet glass,
The prince follows as the revelers pass.
Pull back the rotted hood to see,
The stranger is the disease!

The bodies falling one by one,
And all are dead before the sun.
With one last gasping, dying breath,
You can't escape the Red Death.
