Genmu Zero

These days I've been playing the magnificent game of FF7 Rebirth and due to a massive nostalgia wave was inspired to make a track related to Red XIII who happens to be one of my favorite characters in Final Fantasy history.

At first it was going to be a regular degular liquid drum and bass track but then I remembered I don't ordinary lol.. This dog doesn't either as evidenced by him riding on Chocobos and surprising people by actually talking (found in this song lol).

This vibrant, multi-faceted, and colorful track highlights his story of being liberated by the early heroes of FF7 from the city of Midgar where he kidnapped taken to be being experimented on. He accompanies the gang and insist on paying off his debt to Cloud while traveling to his home of Cosmo Canyon. When he arrives he goes through an ancestral trial to learn that his father Seto who Red thought abandoned him as a child actually went out a war hero protecting the village during conflict with the Gi Tribe. In the end Red takes up the mantle and attains the celestial title as the new Watcher of the Vale.

This cinematic DNB track is inspired by the 2010 movie Tron Legacy just like the first version I consider ahead of it's time. To those who are unfamiliar or forget it is the iconic light cycle fight between Clu (left) the villain who gets introduced and Sam (right) the protagonist who is dubbed the USER.

This is quite possibly my favorite track I've produced.

This is my first liquid DnB track. It's a song that stresses the same baseline all all throughout but in multiple instruments without losing the tropical vibe. This is also coupled with some drum patterns I found rather scintillating. I had alot of fun making this one.
