Gregor Tresher celebrates his annual Break New Soil Recordings Amsterdam Dance Event showcase by returning to Studio 80 with the biggest line-up to date. This year, the showcase is in association with AIAIAI and we are excited to announce various contests giveaways ranging from exclusive Break New Soil ADE merchandise & headphones!

Gregor created Break New Soil was in 2009 as a platform to release his own music under complete autonomy. This ideology soon attracted an influx of demos which naturally evolved into artist signings from the likes of Karotte, Extrawelt, Petar Dundov, Nic Fanciulli, Mauro Picotto, Dosem and much more. Label nights were soon introduced and currently touch down in clubs around the world from the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Austria and the USA. Despite the rapid growth of the label, one constant has remained and that is to release modern dance music from creative and forward-thinking artists.

AIAIAI is an audio design company dedicated to developing high quality audio products for live performance and everyday use. The Break New Soil ADE 2013 Showcase will take place at Studio 80 on Thursday, October 17th. Joining Gregor will be exclusive live performances by Extrawelt, Petar Dundov and Maxime Dangles. Also on board this year are Patrick Siech and Per Hammar from Sweden & Amsterdam rising stars Some Chemistry and Bram Fidder. If all of this wasn't enough there's a very special MYSTERY GUEST that will close the night out with a bang. This event has extended opening hours so get ready for a full night of musical bliss!

Its been over a year since Gregor Tresher's last solo release on his beloved Break New Soil. Granted we've been treated to his remix of Chymera and the excellent collaboration with Petar Dundov, but for a fresh new solo production we have to look back to his epic Nightcolors album.   Today Gregor returns home with two slamming new tracks, both of which are the result of hours of tweaking and testing whilst on the road this summer. Midas is built around a stripped back single-riff groove. Minimal elements and maximum effect show that Gregor still has that midas touch.   On the flip and easily living up to its name is Disturber. its snarling synth takes centre stage, intimidating and unsettling. But as the kick drum thumps and the intensity builds, Disturber suddenly returns to the dark shadows.   An excellent brace of the new tracks from Gregor and a release that also sees a fresh face for Break New Soil as the label presents the first in a new series of cover art by Frankfurt's Think Design.

Gregor Tresher kicks off 2015 looking to break new soil with his first ever full release for John Digweed's Bedrock Records.   

Last year was as hectic as ever for the Gregor and he came into it on high from the success of his artist album Nightcolours and having closed out 2013 by releasing an astonishing Laurent Garnier remix of the title track, on his own imprint.   Time to relax a little maybe? Not a chance. January saw the remixed version of the album hit the stores and this was backed within a few weeks by 'Taurus', Gregor's enticing collaboration with Petar Dundov. The summer saw him remix the Chymera classic 'Shadowdancer' and he closed 2014 with the superb 'Midas / Disturber' double-header.   

Somewhat of a musical chameleon, Tresher is as at home creating deeper shades of house for the likes of Moon Harbour and Ovum as he is techno rhythms for Music Man, Cocoon and Drumcode.   With label boss Digweed a huge fan, Bedrock is yet another perfect fit for the German and he opens his account with the mighty, melodic and Kraken'esque 'Goliath' and the razor-sharp lightning bolt that is 'Stormblade'.

Get Physical kick off 2020 as they mean to go on with a fantastic new remix of WhoMadeWho from Santiago Garcia & Animal Picnic.

Santiago Garcia is an Argentine producer with a truly spine tingling deep house sound that has made him one of the countries most respected exports. Here he links with Animal Picnic, aka Spanish producers Daniel Banker and Inigo de la Riera who are well established with a strong following all over Dubai, Europe and the States thanks to their dark, bass driven house on Einmusik and Diynamic.

The artists come together here to rework WhoMadeWho’s ‘Hi & Low’ into
something subtle and smooth. The elongated chords are dreamy, and the drums succulent, and the whole thing sweeps you gently off your feet and off into the stars. When the spoken word vocal comes in later on, the cathartic effect is only heightened. The instrumental, meanwhile, is more driven, with focus on the keys allowing the melodies to really shine.

This is a tasteful package of mature and musical house.
