Oxygeno writes a new chapter with Vertigo, moving into a more angry mood.
The EP kicks off with Thirty Against One, with a heart-wrenching bassline, distorted drums and a tense atmosphere. Nørbak pays tribute to the original, carefully using the stems and getting a powerful and direct remix.
Side A continues with Vertigo, a suffocating and anxious track, rising and becoming more and more tense as the track progresses.
On side B we find False Mirages, a hypnotic, distorted and direct track for the dancefloor. Positive Centre, with a sound design mastery, remodelled the track into heavy industrial vibes.
Finally, we also deliver a digital bonus track, Metamorphosis, ending the EP in a more atmospheric and hypnotic mood, providing a safe place for you to come down.

Amsterdams Format Records drops a second V/A compilation featuring an exciting wave of next gen techno names. With an impressive group representing the lively Amsterdam techno scene like Beste Hira, Tromp, Lobster, Antonius Macht and label owner Juan Sanchez himself, the 9- track compilation also has its eyes on other territories. Parisian dc11 and Brussels Carmelo Ponente join the pack with two excellent takes of deep techno. And to make this a complete intercontinental affair, Brazilian producer Marcal and Miami based FORUM are coming in strong with some vigorous techno jams. FR022 is a powerful pack of techno jams curated by one of Amsterdams finest techno selectors.

British tour de force Rene Wise is an exciting talent synonymous with hair-raising and hard-nosed techno. A name that’s been confidently claiming its stake in common lexicon with a passion for polyrhythms, forward-looking frequencies and kaleidoscopic beats. It’s the mind-expanding potential of his favourite genre that forms the basis of his new vinyl release on BASSIANI Records. Drawing on personal experiences of the psychedelic sort, he also cites the role of atmosphere and spatial configuration in the making of his sound, in his own words: ‘the space that the music is presented in, is hugely important and there are some very unique and special spaces in the world that capture the true essence of how techno music should be experienced. BASSIANI is one of these places.’ Well that praise goes both ways, it’s hard to imagine a more fitting EP for the club. This four track release is both an homage to the BASSIANI floor and a powerful dive into a trippy realm of techno Wise has spent his years as a musician diligently exploring.
