Following on from the huge success of Compute Riddim w/ Killa P & Badness we had to get 9TRANE back on board for 1FGRM002 with his newest track for us entitled ‘Assault’ which came out March 5th and was supported by Toddla T on BBC Radio 1. Appletize is the follow up single from this release as a free download. Initially a dub for the 140 maestro's sets, the reaction the bootleg of this UK Funky classic had was huge so we thought we should give it away for the masses to enjoy. Yet more support coming from Toddla T (BBC Radio 1) as well as Marcus Nasty (Rinse FM), Travis T (Radar Radio), Benteki (Reprezent) & Shapes to name a few.

Since his last release with us in June 2017 he’s continued to supply DJ’s with the heat with further plays across Radar Radio, BBC 1Xtra & Reprezent Radio. The Norwich producer has also had another release entitled ‘Skeleton’ on the south coast’s critically acclaimed Southpoint. Having performed at one of the largest underground festivals of 2017, ‘Trajections Festival’ (Bristol) he heated up the dance for the likes of Jammz, Big Zuu & Jack Dat which lead to further bookings back home alongside Champion & Murlo. He also joined us for the 1st time in Leeds at our takeover for UP4 at Mint Warehouse in November.

The start of 2018 see’s 9TRANE back in the 1Forty realms despite discovering his love for UK Funky which you may see an original release of from him on the Label later this year..

The two stalwarts of 1Forty have five releases between them since the launch of the Label last July and the time has come for them to collab. The result is a Funky & Bass infused melting pot of the two producers signature sounds combined - Plazma.

With Arridim following up from ‘Pirate Radio’ on 1FBSS002, the London producer set the bar extremely high with support from My Nu Leng. Likewise with 9TRANE and his track ‘Assault’ on 1FGRM002 being pushed by Toddla T on Radio 1. Not to mention his Appletize Release which gained huge support across from T, Marcus Nasty, Travis T & loads more.,Since then they both made their festival debuts at El Dorado Festival for the 1st ever 1Forty Takeover and shortly after arriving home ‘Plazma’ was born.

Arridim has his first grime track in the wings which can be expected on 1Forty very soon..

With 2018 drawing to a close, over the last year, Articulate as a brand have moved through the chapters and cemented itself in the UK Funky and Bass scene. Consistently promoting the best new talent is always a goal, and thanks to a select few artists who are the first branches on our new Articulate Agency tree, we have been able to showcase exactly what the Articulate "Sound" is.
