I wrote this as part of my FAWM 2025 (February Album Writing Month) work. This was inspired by the Fire & Ice Festival in my town of Bethany Beach, Delaware. I made this version using 21st Century tools for a Christmas album my sisters had decided to do for our Uncle, who turned 100 in October 2025 and still loves his CDs! 

Winter Faire

This is a song I wrote while travelling from Bethany Beach, Delaware to Largo, Florida. My sisters and I were putting together a CD of Christmas (and related) music for our Uncle, who had just turned 100. My sister Linda isn't a musician, so I asked her for some input on a new song I'd write to keep her included in the credits. She had some good ideas -- they're all in the lyrics. Put this together with some modern tools to finish the album before Christmas... I didn't get much of a warning! 

Christmas in the Tropics

This is one of my songs from FAWM (February Album Writing Month) 2025. I needed some Christmas-adjacent music for a CD I'm putting together with my sisters (both excellent musicians) for our Uncle, who just turned 100 in October. This was inspired by actual events! 

Frozen Iguanas

While I was driving from Bethany Beach, Delaware to Largo, Florida last week, I started thinking about the surprisingly large number of times I've broken down while travelling on Christmas Day. That was not an issue getting down so early, but it formed a song idea, and I needed another song for a Christmas album I was making with my sisters. I'm not all that much of a country music guy, but in the past few years, doing FAWM (February Album Writing Month) I've had some ideas that just had to be country. I'm learning more about how to write good country... hope this one qualifies! 

Christmas on the Road

I wrote this originally back in 2013 upon realizing I had not seen the sun for a month, this being January on the East Coast. I figure, if you're going to protest something, pick something big!
This recording was made for a CD my sisters and I made for my Uncle Marion, who turned 100 this year and loves to play CDs. This was suggested by a cousin.  I had less than two weeks to get something together, and didn't have good studio versions of anything remotely Christmas/Winter related. So this made with new 21rst century music tools. 

Heart of Winter

A collaboration between Formulation and Dozzy D in 2005. The audio sample of the preacher was recorded secretly  using a minidisc player during a religious event on the Forest Recreation Ground.

The tune was written by hand using a roland keyboard and cubase. Drums by Dozzy D and Bass by Formulation.
