Born in Seattle WA, singer-songwriter Forrest Heise began his musical career at the age of 6 playing the piano.  While growing up as his family moved to various parts of the U.S, he developed a passion for music and art that would eventually turn him into the artist he is today.  Inspired by such artists as Nirvana, Black Sabbath, David Bowie, The White Stripes, and Elton John, in his teens he picked up the drums and guitar, and also vocals.  Playing in various Sacramento area bands, he began to gain attention as a proficient songsmith and performer.
	He disbanded his most recent project, prog-rock act “Anima Fracture,” in late 2011 in order to focus his efforts on new material as well as redefining his musical identity.  On the stage, he exhibits somewhat of an androgynous swagger which pairs exceptionally well with his genre-ambiguous style of music.  
       Currently, he fronts the punk-rock group, Lewd Jaw, handling both lead vocals and guitar.  Their performance at CIP drew widespread attention as did their recent single, "Burning the Chain."
