It's a dance number with haunting elements of uncertainty and self-doubt, which give way to confidence and renewed purpose. There are ghosts in the first verse which are replaced with a living, breathing horn section for the second verse. 


This piece was crafted rather rapidly amid a three-day recording session which yielded 33 compositions. This number is the first single from the album titled II. 
Originally based in Boise, Lowbelly's members are now divided by 800 miles. We had to complete this 11-track album over video-conferencing and text messages. This is the first new material in 13 years due to a dark and sordid drama. We are trying to use the release of this album to draw attention to the occurrence of toxicity in relationships, addiction, and recovery. A portion of our bandcamp proceeds of this album will go to the Family Justice Center Foundation of Idaho who helps victims of various types of abuse, trafficking, and assault.

Lowbelly - Ghost a Go-Go

A perfect summation of the new album upon which it appears, this track has darkness and light, introspection and conflict. The genre is ?? The album is Lowbelly's first in 13 years, one of the members having to overcome trauma, abuse, and addiction in order for it to exist. We celebrate recovery with the album, II.

Lowbelly - Chant Du Griffon

Moody piece that is a throwback to one of Lowbelly's earlier staple pieces titled "Troutdale," this embodies what the new record is about - waking from dark night into a new day. Admittedly, this piece is enshrined in darkness.

Lowbelly - Son of Troutdale

This is a calming piece with the juxtaposition of melancholy and joy. A collaboration between Lowbelly and Jeremy's son, Venec who is a trap producer in his own right (venecbeats.com). With beautiful addition of trumpet, flute, and sax, it has been observed that it feels like laying on the floor in the afternoon sun. Another listener said that it reminded them of an afterschool special. Enjoy!
