Four years after its first output, APRH Records is proud to unveil “Touching Base”. 

This project aims to showcase the wide diversity of subgenres around House Music.  Bringing together a cast of European talents & friends, the 8 tracks double vinyl is heavily influenced by BAM, Soul, R&B and Funk. Altogether, the compilation is all about deepness, soulful harmonies, old school rhythms with hints of modern influences & techniques. 

					TOUCHING BASE I

A Side : 

To start off with the A side is exclusively made by our German friends 
A1. “To the Basement” is a downtempo deep yet sunny number from Berlin duo Nephews. Between the bumpy bassline, lovely breaks & lush chords, this track is the perfect mood lifter. 

A2. “Simpel'' closes this side with a serious heater from the unstoppable Retromigration. The Amsterdam based producer once again delivers a unique blend between sample infused rhythms, flute, synths & tight drumwork.

B Side : 

On the B side, head honcho DimSum delivers his first track “Up & Away” plus a wonderful remix by Swiss legend Alex Attias. On one hand, the original with some 90s R&B samples, trumpet, scatting acappella and entertaining drums, has been made to remind you the good old summer days. 

On the other hand, the remix is a hypnotic stomper. With deep chords, elaborate drums, sample chops & melancholic synth lines, closes the first vinyl with style.

Blur Records is back to present the return of the prolific Columbian DJ, producer and sound engineer - Joint4Nine - and the second part of his EP now entitled "My Feelings For U Pt. II", which includes remixes by the talented US-based Reggie Dokes and British wunderkind Last Nubian.

Based in Bogotá, the co-founder of the electronic music duo Rush City and record label Nómada now delivers this wonderful EP as a precursor to his full album coming out with Blur Records later this year entitled "Like The Summer Sun".

The opening track entitled "Like The Summer Sun" is a vibrant and captivating composition with its calming yet upbeat tempo, featuring a prominent housey vocal that perfectly encapsulates its infectious energy, in this wonderful soundtrack for a summer day.

The second track is the heavy-duty "Beat Em Up" remix of "Like The Summer Sun" by Reggie Dokes, which features pounding drums and driving basslines, alongside a melodic synth breakdown and a gospel-choir-infused vocal that creates a powerful and uplifting atmosphere.

Next, we have "Let's Keep It Real" the second original track by the Columbian producer, a combination of fiery Caribbean rhythms, colourful drums, and vibrant chords. The track features a punchy bassline that drives the song's infectious groove, while the fast-paced percussion keeps the energy high.

The second remix is by the talented London-based producer Last Lubian, who delivers a wonderful reinterpretation of "Let's Keep It Real", with its driving bassline and infectious hook, Last Lubian brings a club-ready energy to the track, with a combination of synths, samples and live instrumentation that creates a unique, contemporary sound.

Lastly, we have the final track of this EP, the edited version of "Like The Summer Sun" by Joint4Nine, featuring a relentless bass and a housey vocal that now stretches throughout this track, in what is a perfect close to this EP.
