Fort Wonder - Fields EP (2013)

The world is born around Fort Wonder. Starting out empty, starting out open, it is a black hole, a sponge, a net. It lets in light, it lets in sound, it catches everything around. Whatever enters becomes one, a mass of mass, none left undone. It subtracts, it combines, it adds together, intertwines. As it nears its saturation, as it overflows the brim, another fort will spill its own. And by that spill a universe, of endless news unknown. Spill and spill colliding, two infinities react. It starts anew, the floor is swept. What is left is what is kept.

Fort Wonder explores their indie-rock site between carelessness and poignant melancholy, between silent reflection and compelling euphoria. The band counts The National, Foals and Radiohead to their heroes but is intensely motivated to break new ground. Sincerely, unpolished and temperamental, like the energetic live show.
