GO YAMA - CHIPFUNK

Go Yama continues to define categories and shows why he really is one of the most unique individuals out there right now. 'Chipfunk' kicks off with a sexy lo-fi house tempo, layered with his midi guitar licks and shifting hats. As with most Yama productions, there is always movement, and with 'Chipfunk' he traverses between various Bpms once again but the transition never sounds contrived.

Work has already started for an official DTW album for 2016, and we simply cannot wait.

Question: How would you describe your sound to someone with ears? Without ears?

Answer: Since they don’t have ears, I’d have no way of verbally communicating that to them. So I would show them a collection of different pictures I’ve saved that capture what my music feels like to me, and tell them to hit the blunt :).

Senpu -  Give Me Company

You may heard of Senpu from his earlier releases on Laruche or Mellow Orange, but if you have not, perhaps this is a good time to get acquainted. 
Senpu is a 22 years young Parisian beatmaker who started his musical path when his parents enrolled him at the conservatory where he could learn to play guitar, violin and piano. 

At the age of 17 he felt the need to create his own music, and after performing live on stage a few times, he decided to focus more on making instrumentals, sampling records from Michael Jackson, Duke Ellington, Bob Marley to Stevie wonder.
"Give Me Company" is a story about his love for travelling, and to discover new cultures. It is imbued with an ample range of percussions and vocal samples, all of which are part of his field recordings - We definitely appreciate the intricate approach to his craft.
