This is my set from Manchester cathedral 12th Aug 2022, playing before Sasha. it was such an amazing venue to play in, a spectacular building, and a hot sunny day, with light shining through the stained glass windows.

There were so many friends and friendly faces in the crowd, and it filled up really early (my set was 5-8pm), and people seemed in such an amazing mood, it was a real pleasure to play at this gig.

I hope you like my set - I loved playing these tracks - old and new.

"When I picked records and songs for this mix I wanted to include a lot of tracks that are timeless and not trendy. Important tracks are in my arsenal of music. I don’t own CDJs so I did the mix on my 1200s. These songs kind of reflect the epitome of the sound in an underground party, from any era. I ended the mix with an old Get F*cked track, because I love that record, and it's perfect for closing out a party or a mix. Nathan Coles and I have been homies for over 20 years. I recorded the mix a few weeks before passed and it makes the mix mean something more to me than just doing a cool DJ mix. RIP Nathan Coles, I always share the gifts you gave us in the form of music, and you will live on thru the hundreds of songs."

Balearic Discoveries #12 - Chris Coco

For the first single from a 6-track EP from Montreal's Clarian (who is also one half of Footprintz), the Canadian reached well beyond the border to collaborate with Tel Aviv-born, Madrid-based producer Guy Gerber on "Claire." Gerber has been a major player on Israel's electronic scene since 2006, running his own Supplemental Facts label and infusing traces of minimal techno, tech house, downtempo and deep house in his productions, while remaining singular in his approach. Clarian's vocal contributions were at the heart of Gerber's progressive house-leaning Fabric mix from last year, which joined the likes of Ricardo Villalobos and Omar-S of artists that turned in single-artist mixes to the series. "Claire" starts amid a queasy vocal snippet (with Clarian's French whisper lodged in at the midpoint) and threatens to go darker and deeper. But a steady handclap and glimmering melodic line uplifts and casts light across this seven-minute track.

A Journey in Balearic - March 2021

Kevin Swain is highly respected producer who first came to the forefront of electronic dance music as DOP in the 90’s on William Orbit’s seminal Guerilla Records label. He was there at Shoom when it started and later went on to DJ at such legendary clubs like The Raid, Back to Basics, Love Ranch, Sign Of The Times, and for Charlie Chester’s Flying Records outfit. He has been consistently producing the best dance music ever since.
Enzo Amico set up Plastic Fantastic Records, the legendary London record shop and label, a move which kick-started an international DJ career, playing across the world in such clubs as Bedrock, Cream, Ministry Of Sound, Pacha (Ibiza), and many more. He now runs Plastic Music (www.plastic-music.co.uk) an online record shop and is a member of the exciting DJ outfit The Balearic Brothers (www.balearicjukebox.co.uk), spinning at festivals and clubs all over the country.
Kevin & Enzo have always shared a love for all things “Balearic”, from the early sounds of Byrne & Eno to the early ground-breaking Balearic Beats, also taking in the 80’s Italo Disco sounds. Now, Foto gives them an opportunity to take journeys into the past as well as incorporating all the new exciting sounds being produced by labels such as Eskimo, Full Pupp, Perm Vac, and Italians Do It Better.
