Foto Sounds welcomes the Walsall based newcomer Dom Smith aka Itmek to the family. Having started out making dubstep in his early production days, Itmek eventually found a home in the Midlands DnB scene. He now comes full circle with a serious dubstep EP, including a remix of title track 'Halo' by a firm Foto favourite - Biome. That accompanied by the stomping 'One Hundred Thieves' and ribcage-rattling 'Two Juice' makes for a promising debut from this versatile producer.

Born and bred London producer/DJ @bidl comes with a mixed bag of equally complex tracks for the 11th instalment of the FOTO EP digital series.
'Swivel' kicks things off with a vibey, techy and smooth UKG influenced 140 rhythm, followed by Empty Gas - a fuzzy stomper that will destroy any sound system. Bidl then comes with the dark and mucky 'Beckon', wrapping things up with title track, London Lockdown with a warm and vibrant ending to the EP.

After a short break during the busy summer period we come back introducing our new 'Foto Reels' series.

Volume 1 brings through some Foto favourites including Bidl, Gnasha and Volume A, also welcoming our mastering engineer and top producer  to the roster - Leeds based bass wizard, Surreal.

These tracks vary the spectrum opening up with an eerie yet powerful intro from FOTO011 releasee, Bidl with 'Focus'. Leading into Volume A's militant, grimey stepper 'Fast Acting'. Then being taken into a seemingly trippy, bass driven juxtaposed and contradictory creeper 'Subira' by Surreal, ending on the deep, moody atmosphere of stomper 'Obedience' of label favourite Gnasha.

Rising producer/DJ Elias 'Buckley' - not a new name to the scene, has been causing a stir in the Leeds and surrounding areas with his arsenal of hard hitting bootlegs that have been catching attention from industry pioneers such as Dizzee Rascal. We're very happy to welcome aboard and present to you his debut for us with 4 deep, grimey, immaculate productions to create the 'Silent Waters EP'. 
The title track sets the tone with rattling sub bass being the prominent drive, whilst incorporating eerie yet provoking soundscapes. Followed by the rightfully titled 'Titan', placing at the forefront, Elias’ attention to detail. Making a slight switch in vibe with 'Raijin' that takes the listener through an eastern journey, accentuating pounding sub weight and intricate drum grooves, confirming his versatility and ability to generate eerie moods with otherwise peaceful and meditative instrumentation. Finally, wrapping the EP up with a drum focused technical number, 'Fermented Shark' - focusing on what seems to be confusing the listener with off-beat and complex drum grooves rounding off this outstanding up and comers debut with a track not for the faint hearted.

Stepping up for our twentieth release with the Vantaj EP, we have a newcomer to the label by the name of Jungle Rootz. We start with the title track 'Vantaj' coming in militant and wobbly, followed by the deep, squelchy sounds of 'Platter' which has been doing the rounds setting the levels for the producers debut. Fiend then brings the grit to the release as its sonics morph throughout the track and finally we end with Lurker taking us on a journey of wonky growlers.

For FOTO021 we bring you a 4 track EP from up and coming artist Kali coming out of Manchester, recently moved to Canada to pursue his music career following his tour over there.

The title track 'Mad Cow' featuring Nottingham MC Vandulliza known for his militant flow and style like no other, along with Snowy who has recently been taken in by 1985 and started to get the recognition he deserveshas been a staple in Khanum's sets for around 2 years now and after a long time waiting it's finally ready to be put out. All 4 tracks on 021 bring different types of energy to the table; with the title track accompanied by two of the best 140 MC's around it brings that hype, whilst Fanta Fruit twist explores Kali's technical side revolving around skippy vocal chops like nothing we've seen before on Foto. Switching the flavours to the aggy 'Spartan' where our newest artist focuses on the programming of breaks showing his versatility. Last but not least wrapping up the EP the track 'Bowza' includes a flawlessly executed, melodic masterpiece, ready for any MC or host to shell down in any set. 

We look forward to finally putting this one out there for everyone to enjoy and once again welcoming fresh and emerging talent to the label family.

Die By The Sword makes his debut on Foto Sounds with a killer EP. 
The Harrowing sets us off with eerie chimes and textures followed by some aggressive bass tones. Next up we have the title track - Dusted. This one instantly gets your attention with its catchy hook and more softer bass . Empire business comes next with more textural delight and 808 style bass hits taking you on a more darker sound within the EP. To round it off we have label head Unkey with the remix of Dusted.. a stripped back flip of the original, giving prominence to the sub line whilst manipulating the lead rasp with a drawn out release and rising emphasis.
