I recently installed Tracktion Waveform 13. To familiarise myself with this DAW, I made this album. This is also something of a portfolio piece, I have some prior experience with composing for video game projects, but I decided I needed to work on both my composing and production skills.

Each song is meant to be a theme for a character from a Pathfinder 1e campaign I've been taking part in. Similarly, each of the odd chain links on the album cover are meant to represent each character - the six on the left side of the cover are player characters, while the three on the right are not party members, but are NPCs or a player character from the previous campaign.

I based each song on the information I have as a player about their personalities, aesthetics and stories. For instance, Runs Redder Than Red is based off a highly confident draconic sorcerer. As such I wanted the piece to sound bold and powerful, to match the character's pride and strength. I had used a french horn ensemble to create a large and warm sound, to represent both his ego and draconic magic.

It has been a great experience making this album, I intend to keep on using Waveform 13 for making music for video games and TTRPGs.
