Sonic

Up early again and waiting on a delivery so delivering on my promise of a second part to the medley. This was annoying to make, mostly because of only having my 1010 now (HDSP 9652 is now being refurbished). Another hour or so of playing with ideas and themes using Sonic as a base. It's the second medley with bits from Sonic 3 & Knuckles. As before there was a little creative interpretation of some parts of the original song melodies.

Sonic Orchestra Medley - Part 2

This is an orchestrated version of the Wing Fortress Zone music from Sonic 2. I wanted to stay close to the original. I'm going to add Requiem choirs once they've downloaded and I'll post an mp3 download link.

Sonic 2 - Wing Fortress Zone Orchestra

I know, I know. This is about the 5th time I've remixed the boss pieces. I just haven't felt that I've captured the theme in all it's evil glory yet, so here's another try. This time  it stays quite true to the originals and utilises the new CineBrass album to give some epic brass crazyness.

We'll just have to see how happy I am with this one and whether I'll attack it again at a future date :)

Flight of Robotnik - The boss theme orchestra

An orchestrated version of the Final Zone from the original Sonic the Hedgehog. I haven't released a sonic remix in a while and wanted to try one this morning. I tried to experiment a little so it's not amazingly close to the original. I also composed it from ear so there may be duff notes here and there.

Sonic The Hedgehog - Final Zone Orchestra

An orchestral cover of the Marble Zone music from Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog. I've neglected the series a little lately from discovering so many other great soundtracks, so I had intended to make a Sonic 1 medley. However, it ended up turning into this. I'm posting it as is, as I can't imagine having much more time to work on it.

Sonic the Hedgehog - Marble Zone Orchestra

This is an orchestral cover of the Select Screen from Zelda A Link to the Past. I'd never paid much attention to the Zelda music until recently. I wish I had gotten into it much earlier as there's so many good pieces of music hidden behind 8bit blips and blops. I have a 'making of' video for this piece of music that's coming as soon as I chop it up!

Zelda ALTtP - Select Screen

An orchestration of Green Hill Zone from the original Sonic the Hedgehog. Again, testing out various libraries I've bought recently and also experimenting with techniques. Not completely happy with it, but the original song's style of orchestration isn't something I'm completely competent with yet.
