Another faction of the busy baxon
Wax on wax off the saxophonist sways down the long corridor of night away from the lights so bright they bite his eyeballs leaving him without sight or knowledge of wrong and right and despite the fight he turns it down and gets a day job making circuit boards on a factory floor with nothing but a brown bag lunch to look for until he goes home and through the door his kids adore his every story of past and future glory and it doesn't matter the the ladder doesn't reach as high as a teenage dreams cause he played those crazy scenes enough for him to find solace on the wholeness of his role as a father, a husband a working man who can still break out his horn when inspiration is born and play and play and play forlorn late at night or early morning with only the slanted light on the old floorboards there to listen.

“Made me want to start smoking again,” says a guy named Jimmy who has a deer and a goat in his freezer.

“More cowbell,” says Ryan from Seattle.

foundonamap uses sound to explore the crossroads between feeling and experience. When we first started out, we discovered that music had become limited by its association with commercially manufactured image and imagery. It was difficult to create music without referencing these manufactured images, which were nothing more than mimeographed idealizations of what is deemed to have social value. The result is that music has become secondary to the image it portrays and the imagery that surrounds it is more vital than the music itself. Our goal is to feel something out of making our music that is not derived from outside influences. We are striving to use sound to directly communicate the experience of subjective feeling. foundonamap is a project of sonic cartography; the audio mapping of subjective feeling onto the consciousness so that the individual becomes aware of the difference between itself and the values being imposed upon it.
