The second in our feelings mix series comes from Kasra V. Born and raised in Tehran, Kasra V started DJing in London clubs before he was old enough for a provisional driving licence. Still in his early 20s, he's part of the Tender Love and Love Fever crews and presents 'The Paradise Show' on NTS Radio.

The next Feelings mix come from one of the greats of the early Italian club scene DJ Beppe Loda. As a resident at Italy’s Typhoon club he pioneered the sound he coined ‘afro’ - seamlessly weaving Brazilian music, African music, disco and early electronica.

He joins us on Saturday 11th July alongside Mike Dunn, Kasra V and more for our 1st Birthday!

This is the live recording from my set at 'BORN & BRED' Halloween party in Building Six within the 02 Arena in London. What a night!!! I was the only House set of the night so played quite hard and up tempo. It was absolutely Ram Jam sardine can in this arena the whole set. Everyone was going nuts!!! I loved it! Hope u enjoy the recording!

Live Set From 'BORN & BRED' -Building6- 02 Arena (Halloween)

Arriving as something of a poster boy for the so called outsider house scene that emerged in 2013, Huerco S is Kansas born, Brooklyn based artist Brian Leeds. His sound is resolutely lo-fi, scuffed up and knackered, as proven by his Colonial Patterns LP on the Software label, which is a modern classic. Further EPs on Future Times and Antony Naples’s Proibito label have found him distilling his cerebral and atmospheric sounds yet further, with occult moods and foggy grooves encouraging listens to sink deep into his abstract but inviting worlds. 

As a DJ he is no more of a hurry to make an impact. This podcast he has put together is thoroughly absorbing from the off, with cavernous chambers of implicit rhythm, iridescent pads and loosely scattered hits slowly transforming into something resembling a groove. Later in the two-hours long recording, the mix serves proper house tunes with which Huerco S. proves to have a keen eye for the dance floor too.

London-based party collective Feelings usher in a new chapter as they launch their own record label Feelings Worldwide this month. Commissioned with the task of inaugurating the imprint, Iranian-born Kasra V offers The Window — three house cuts tinged with the Middle East.

Our top spot is benched with the D2S remix of "Myth". Flouting primitive tribal qualities, the track’s foundation is supplied by authentic Persian percussion and chants. Spurred on further by a bountiful bass line, energetic melodies and topped off by warm ambience, D2S’s take is a dancefloor demon.

It’s been quite a while since our last podcast. So to get us back on track we have something special from the Cómeme crew’s Christian S. Christian Schäfer grew up in Cologne in the 90’s and this is where he developed his love for house, techno and disco. He’s recorded a rather different mix; homage to a time when every proper techno club had an ambient floor. 

Christian had this to say, “I think I have made so many podcasts that I was at a point where I had to reset. Too many bassdrums. So, back to the start, to point zero. This mix is (almost) without bass drums. It’s ambient, chill out, music for travel, late check out music; and after a long weekend this mix even has healing power.” 

Christian recorded this live with both CDJs and turntables early on a Thursday morning.

For our 70th podcast we have a mix from Andy Graham, otherwise known as Sei A. Andy is an ever-evolving producer who has cooked up many different shades of house and techno since emerging in 2008. From dark and melodic to well-swung and bass heavy, he is not one to repeat the same trick twice, as three LPs and more than 15 EPs on labels like Turbo, Life And Death, Kompakt and Aus/Simple have proved before now. Last year the Scottish producer released his third full length, Space in Your Mind.

This mix starts subtly, with textured house and intricate percussion, before morphing into rolling dancefloor heaters such as Passarani's "Wonky Wonky Wonky". Enjoy!
