A special mix from one of the minds behind our third record, so welcome on board @jacopolatini .

Jacopo also known as Jackie, is the co-founder of Taboo Traxx. Now based in Berlin, he continues to hone his profound sound with many releases last year and a lot of new projects coming out in 2021.
He can frequently be found playing his extensive artillery of records at various locations in his native country, or the new city he calls home. Growing up in Bologna played a pivotal role in Jackie's acquired taste in music, surrounded by the surgence of deep house in Italy, he managed to absorb the deep and emotive sound. Something which he is now able to interpret and reflect within his own productions, however maintaining a modern, yet still moving twist.
He has found his element in recent times in the German capital, surrounding himself with creative artists where he can bounce his positive energy and ideas, introducing his personal workflow, whilst simultaneously learning from others. Jacopo sets his sights firmly on a year of pushing his productions, via his own Taboo imprint, and already in the pipeline of Mood Waves.

So tune in for the next hour with some of Jacopo's favourite nugs!

Yesss yes, it’s time for our next Mustard Mix and this one is premium.

Whilst Velvet Velour’s roots are tied to Bristol through running his own night ‘Niceness’ and hosting a monthly show on the city’s SWU.FM station, his audience is starting to spread much wider over the globe. With a highly praised debut EP via Dr Banana & Alec Falconer’s ‘Scratch Discs’ label earlier this year, VV’s next record will be released on Joe Delon’s, ‘Welt Discos’ label - which you may hear inside this mix ;). 

‘Niceness’ is new to Bristol but has already hosted some favourites; such as Youandewan and Liquid Earth, and they’ve got some lovely upcoming events welcoming Joe Delon, Hamish Cole and Tho. 

The mix is 100% Velvet Velour productions, aka Liam Dadds, and after giving this one a spin we’re sure you’ll agree we’re expecting most of these to find their way onto those round waxy discs we all love in the coming year/ years.

Arguably one of London's most exciting DJ's on the circuit, T. Jacques lays down the first (and likely only) contribution to the FH Mix Series for 2022. 

The Nuances de Nuit label head's profile continues to rise with the label's success, maturing both as selector and producer; with forthcoming music on Truly Madly's Mindhelmet, as-well as own label Nuances de Nuit. 

Allow Tom to take you on a carefully curated hour of unidentified bliss; a mix that seamlessly transitions from downtempo ease to 90's tech-house, a genre of which the selector has an undimmed love for.

Number 12 in our Mustard Mix Series is here thanks to London based brothers, and good friends of MHR, Will and Max, aka ‘Duowe’.

These boys are the force behind the ever growing label and party, @fraiserecords which they kicked off in 2019, and have since put out a number of records on the label, with the likes of Urulu, Baby Rollen and most notably the link up with their good mate, Picasso.

As well as a label, they also run their own nights and radio show, ‘Eclectic Blends’ on Voices Radio, which provides a slower soundtrack every 2nd Friday of the month!  

More recently the lads have landed themselves on none other than the man himself, Gene on Earth’s imprint, ‘Limousine Dream’ with a tried and tested EP with Picasso. 

With a handful of new music set to be released for the rest of this year, we can’t wait to hear what else is in store for these fellas. Anyway enough waff - we’ll let the music do the talking!

Californian native Taylor Freels has been shaping dancefloors for some time and in a past life under the name Urulu has had quite an impact our community. Having shelved the project momentarily a new alias has sprouted in the form of Liquid Earth. With countless bangers already under his belt Taylor is a core member of many taste making collectives, Butter Side Up, Kalahari Oyster Cult all benefit from his refined dancefloor focused style. Not staying in one place for too long but more than happy to revisit certain time periods in house music but with a revised vigour and wide eyed appreciation for the love that has gone into the original source material.
