Ineffekt presents Kora, his 10 track debut album on Intercept. In around 40 minutes, the 19-year-old takes you through his colorful springtime of youth, sonically painting a picture with a diverse and vibrant set of sounds that feel like the first rays of sunshine after a long winter. 

Through a blend of glistening vocal pieces, strings of dreamy melodies, and distinctive rhythms, Ineffekt cleverly takes on a sound that both feels comfortable and illusive. It’s a nonchalant approach with ephemeral peaks of emotion that result in a combination of colorful and groovy songs. 

After the success of his EP 'Solaris' (2020) on Intercept, Ineffekt further cements his sound all while positioning himself between the club world, and the pop hemisphere. Catchy motifs are interchanged with grooves that feel like a constant drive towards the horizon. Standout tracks 'Cascades', 'In a Flash' and 'Kora' all show his tendency for anthemic sentiment, all while keeping depth and clarity to his sound. 

The record further reveals its diversity by going into more filmic and peculiar tracks such as ‘Vibrant Bands of Yellow’ and ’See You Blossom’, while also diving deeper into feelings of nostalgia and ambivalence. The juxtaposition of these two sides show a young artist, fully in bloom as the flowers he surrounds himself with.

'Selected Acid Tracks' is the latest work from @anatolianweapons - a deliberately dancefloor-oriented release with a host of long acid-laced tracks designed for the club, and some more unconventional surprises. 

The titles offer a subtle nod to a recently passed DJ par excellence and general polymath, whom Aggelos credits as an inspiration. The record lands on @byrdout on May 27 featuring both remixes and edits.

PREMIERE: Huebl - Lean On You (feat. Jahson the Scientist) (Detroit Mix) [nine0nine]

Following on from the last release Nabil Hayat returns with another EP titled Wave Shaping. This sees his approach to 4 new tracks that are slightly more edgier and incorporates a darker harder sound.

On point with the concept of this EP up first is the self titled track Wave Shaping which is deep, bass heavy and rich in texture with swirling sounds that move throughout the track. Short sharp percussion oscillates through untill the main melody enters and settles.
Followed by Mod which is an enchanting hypnotic late night groover that gets deep as the track progresses. With its loose drum programmed distorted kick drums, flanger based toms and resonated frequencies are sure to get you in the mood. Def is spirited towards peak time and sees the track rise and float through the early hours of the morning. With its high pitched modulated synths that morph along with the bell stab and metallic hi hats typical of any techno track. Lastly there is Static which incorporates pulsating basses a classic 909 drum machine workout which builds through with just the right kind of elements until the break down half way then takes the track and moves towards more centre focussed until it all opens up and again for a final time with elements blending out taking things to a close.

From Ceri's sleazy and grinding "Acid Jam" which is classic moog mischief, Dubble D aka Moodymanc's "Darkdays" has a rather soulful and emotive slo-mo bounce, while Berlin dwelling Irishman Michael Lovatt's "Say What You Want" is a sexy late night groove - that's perfect to nail that 3am vibe indeed.
