From A Lost Place: Sigh Of Relief

Santiago via Berlin-based record label Technologia Organica welcomes two talented South American producers for its third release - 'Xenology' EP. Mateo Moric and Sepian split release, providing four energetic, pulsating, deep techno tracks. 

'Xen' by Medelin-based Sepian is our focus for today. Its forest field recordings add an organic element to the otherwise synthetic sounds of deep techno, transporting the listener to a lush and verdant environment. The hypnotic pads create a dreamy and ethereal atmosphere, drawing the listener deeper into the track. At the same time, the pulsating groove provides a driving and rhythmic foundation, making sense of momentum and forward motion. This track will perfectly fit a dark and intimate club setting. Combining organic and synthetic elements creates a rich, textured soundscape that envelops the audience.

In a now annual tradition, Tartelet leans into the introspective mood of the winter months with itsthird compilation of downtempo and ambient titles. The artists involved on this 24-track collection include recent frontliners as well as long-standing extended family and breakthrough talents.

Medusozoa Vol III offers a perfect opportunity to dig into the dimensions of the label not defined by a dancefloor beat. Here, low-slung hip-hop and RnB can sit alongside beatless reveries, head-nodding dub meditations, and nimble, meandering jazz funk alike. If there was ever a question whether the label promotes a broad church of music, here it is in abundance.

The trip begins with long-time Tartelet alumni Max Graef, who makes two appearances on Medusozoa Vol III in his now signature woozy style interspersed with artful sampling. Doc Sleep follows up on her debut solo with a gorgeous foray into submerged, dubby shimmers, and Oakland-based psych-soul star ABUNAI links back up with kissingpractice for another dose of heart-on-sleeve song craft.

Copenhagen-based artist Lord of the Magi takes us on a mesmerising ride of ‘60s psychedelia, perfectly extending his sound nurtured on the Soul Exchange record. And Later Version, a collaboration from Oakland duo DJML and Jerod S. Rivera, sink into an analogue bubble bath of electronic and acoustic sonics. Athlete Whippet’s accomplished, soul-informed sound slips in perfectly, adding a warm, laid back
funk to the mix.

While label mainstay Nelson of the East drops a surprise hit sure to get a mass of bodies moving, Space Ghost returns for another blissfully beatless excursion that’s all killer, no filler. Tartelet wizard Glenn Astro also continues to shape out his distinctive path through modern beat constructions and edgy synth snaps.

Fresh label debuts include Mr. Beatnick, who lays down a sumptuous slice of cosmic downtempo boogie, while London-based producer DrumTalk brings his signature deft drum programming mood. Ciel also makes a first appearance on the label with her signature backroom dreamscapes and shimmering, tripped-
out style.

With its rich tapestry of mellow sounds to melt into, Medusozoa Vol III offers both a soothing backdrop and something mentally nourishing to fix your mind’s ear on.

宀 records proudly presents the new EP ‘Apollo’ by the duo from Washington DC, Rush Plus. The title track offers up heady, cerebral, celestial techno. Ready to kick up dust and initialize the dance floor French producer Amor Saytr provides a rambunctious, bass heavy twist to ‘Apollo’.
 
Flip it around and turn it you get ‘Flexibility’, a track that at first builds a minimal thread of tension between rhythm and sound that widens and relaxes to open up a projection of night skies eager to part so daylight can break. ‘Orange Turbo (feat. Gordon)’ injects charged, syncopated static into bodies to accentuate an angular degree of posture to move the collective’s sensations toward a euphoric climax.
 
The tracks all combined exerts focus and mindfulness for the dancefloor. Apollo is a summoning of forces ready to conjure an electrifying, ecstatic experience.

Movement I – Awakening in the Nebula Verge
Thick indigo mists rolled like sentient tides, veiling a lone spore drifting at the edge of a newborn nebula. Within that obsidian mote slept a consciousness so ancient that time itself had forgotten its name. When the nebula’s first hydrogen flashes bloomed, ultraviolet shockwaves cracked the spore’s shell.

The being inside tasted infinity—and breathed. Vaporous ribbons of ion-blue air stitched themselves into elastic sinew, forming limbs clothed in living mycelium. Eyes alight with bio-luminescent rings, the Spore-Knight straightened. He touched the nebula floor—a spongy lattice of star-seed and fungal root—and it answered with a reverberation that set his pulse to a steady 126-beat cadence against the void’s silence.

From the reverberation rose a blade: translucent, forever shifting between violet and viridian, humming with promise. The sword’s edge carried runes etched by cosmic radiation, promising both creation and annihilation in a single swing.

He did not yet know why he had emerged, only that an impossible destiny waited beyond the mist.
