@viers bouncy 'Wasting Time', doesn't need much time to implement its bumpy swing against a frozen dubby backdrop, drilling chopped-up vox bits over jacking drums and rippling metallic percussions Basic Channel wouldn't have disowned. Out of a restricted quiver of sounds, Viers' arrows still hit the spot with optimum efficiency.

@hokkaido-dance-club: A label not a disco on a north Japanese island, is helmed by Jordan Saxton (aka @Viers & @leekonitz) and Joe Sagar  - two pals from Leeds with a dirty habit of unearthing a gem. HDC have been somewhat quiet of late. Their most recent release being early 2017 from label honcho Viers; a sumptuous offering which left HDC fans all Oliver Twist - begging for more of that tasty metaphorical audio gruel. If you don't have a bowl yet - get one.

When we first heard this - it's safe to say we were a little surprised (pleasantly of course). Part of HDC's legacy has been their contributions towards the dance floor - four/four lead post 12am heaters. Medrea's (https://soundcloud.com/medreadj) 'Untitled' and this features Premiere kicks the record off as it means to go on - maintaining Hokkaido's gritty aesthetic with about as much saturation as the fat content in the porkiest of pies, yet veering (no pun intended) away from the hallmark stonk. Broken beats combining and interacting with etheral strokes and mechanistic hues throughout make for an immersive and entrancing listening experience. In more simple terms - imagine PS1's Duke Nukem gliding his pixely fingers across a Roland D-50 as part of a dystopian future-soul band. Still not with us? Just listen - s'good.

He can be found as a highlight on some of the most prominent lo-fi music channels and labels around the globe. Collecting references from his transitory living in different Brazilian cities, his music extends beyond the boundaries of 4x4 beats to surreal, ethereal landscapes and danceable rhythms. In São Paulo, his childhood home base, Nørus is moving forward in the search of his musical inner-self, dropping timeless gems on his label, Yellow Island Records.

Ocean Drive Radio is a 80s/90s themed platform from an alternate reality, lost somewhere between the frequencies of a dreamy house and a smooth- jazz radio station. Founded during the start of the pandemic and inspired by channels like EELF, Slav, Vapor Memory and Xerf Xpec, ODR aims to showcase these mood-invoking genres since we believe that, now more than ever, people will be either nostalgic for the carefree past, or longing for that utopian future which was promised with the arrival of mass-consumer technology. You can find weekly guest mixes on their Soundcloud and premieres on their YouTube in genres which have the tendency to sound familiar, but for whatever reason seem a tad different.

'Escape To Paradise' is a 15-track Various Artist compilation of disco, deep and lofi house, and 2 of these disco edits will be free to download. Set to hit on the 20th of December, this compilation has been made with close friends to the channel, with some of the artists being Dj Hoshino, Tom Vernon, Nightdrive, David Bulay and Ben Lee.
