It’s sunset hour at a festival. Face paint glitters and people cheer as they hear the lush opening riff of ‘Feathers in The Sun’. Bouncy synth chords soon follow, hands go up in the air and bodies move beckoned by a pulsating four-on-the-floor kick. Those are the images that Minev’s latest track evokes. 

With its imaginative use of synths, chopped-up vocal samples and rhythmic variation, ‘Feathers In The Sun’ is a sterling example of London’s electronica music scene. It’s gentle but euphoric and true to Minev’s signature sound that blends dance music with emotions. 

Offering respite from some of his darker compositions, ‘Feathers In The Sun’ makes use of lush ethereal vocals to create a feel-good summer anthem. It’s warm, it’s beautiful and at time almost meditative, aided by evocative lyrics such as: “I’m here, I’m back, so light, not fighting my shadow, we are one”.

"With ‘Feathers In The Sun’ I wanted to create a sound that felt effortlessly carefree and positive. Like musical version of a fleeting thought that says ‘Damn, there’s so much in life that’s awesome and I’m gonna take this moment to enjoy it. "
